Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Awesome figure awesome review. I get that most don't care about articulation in their hot toys and I agree to a certain extent but personally I like my hot toys to have as much articulation as possible. These are the best versions of these characters you can get in my opinion so it only makes sense for them to be well articulated too. Anyways keep up the excellent work and thanks for all that you do.

My very own Hot Toys DOCTOR STRANGE figure arrived yesterday and I haven't opened it yet. Truthfully, I have little intent to take it out of the package just because it was so Damn expensive. I have been waiting for YOUR review since your P.O. Box pick up video a week or so ago, and thankfully you delivered RIGHT ON TIME! Judging by your review, I'm even less thrilled at the overall nature of the figure since the articulation is lacking and the extras seem to be a pain in the rump (yes, yes, nice head sculpt and cool cloak & costume...i get it). For the price, I expected a LOT more from it. And THANK you for the heads-up on how to open the box. I saw the disc, but hadn't taken the box out of the baggie and REALLY didn't want to run the risk of tearing the box by forcing the "lock". I've got EVERY Doctor Strange figure and statue ever made(ok, either in-Hands or on pre-order) (including 1 of a kind prototypes) and this one MIGHT make the top five, but I think that's ONLY if I treat it as a statue, not a figure. I dunno. TIME will tell, I guess. Peace! P.S.: NICE one-frame "shot" edit.

Is it too much to ask for both articulation and likeness? I'm with you on the articulation. Have the head likeness can still be there with good articulation. I don't mind seeing joints on these figures cause at the end of the day they are figures. The rubber arms can be bothersome but I understand that to some extent. What bothers be in only getting single jointed elbows and no bicep swivel on sleeveless figures like CW Hawkeye and Drax. But overall the figure are amazing and knock it out of the park 9 times out of 10. Great Review Shartimus.
