Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This figure is probably the BEST HotToys Spidey. The uniform is no restrictive at all- this gives it an amazing range. Given it more cloth soft goods you also don’t have the stress of damaging the outfit like the Advanced Suite or Homecoming. Add in those accessories and it’s just wonderful. I hope they do an original uniform from the game like this.

I'm born and raised NYC, it's very funny to see a cup closely inspired by the traditional NYC coffee cup with "coffee bean" written on it. I'm sure Hot Toys was just putting words together. But it's kinda funny they made a traditional NYC bodega coffee cup with an LA based-brand name on it, that actually did have shops here for a bit. But they definitely never printed on those traditional bodega cups.

Its great looking figure the part that sucks is that if the stand doesnt damage the suit then the suit damages itself mine got stuck on the left leg part had him posed for a week i unstuck it but damaged so now i have him in museum pose sucks that all these spidey figs you cant pose them dynamic at all times

I never had a Hot Toys in hand but I own a couple of very limited original design 1/6 scale action figures where the production was outsourced to Hot Toys, I have to agree that the quality is very good but those very limited action figures (limited to 300 pieces worldwide, as in.. that figure will never ever be produce ever again and that means it wont be rereleased until the end of times) sell for a retail price of 250USD to 350USD and that is about the same price this mass produced Hot Toys figures sell for. Mass produced items should be cheaper for a couple of reasons, first because they were mass produced and that means the production expenses can be diluted between a lot more items, the materials will be less expensive because they were bought in gross, the molds will cost the same but again their value will be diluted between a lot more items and so on and so forth for every step of the way since when a figure is produce until it gets to your hands. Second, because collector pieces value tends to skyrocket over time depending on their rarity and a limited action figure... well... it's limited, so normally it's rarest then a mass produced one. Has a collector paying the same for an action figure that as the same quality but was mass produce instead of being very limited is getting the shorter end of the stick. After all that being said I think this Hot Toys Scarlet Spider is a very good action figure and thank you for the review Shartimus.
