Great review. The difference in costume colour in the movies isn't just colour grading, I saw the BVS Wonder Woman costume in person on the Warner Bros. backlot and it's definitely a dark tone and more recently I got the art book for Wonder Woman which it states they stuck with the original design but tweaked the colours to be more vibrant

Great review! I like the likeness. If hot toys can't get seamless right I'd be happy with normal articulated arms. If I want seamless I'd buy a statue. I don't care about joints. It's a toy. I want to pose her and take pics!

The Hot Toys Batman V Superman Wonder Woman 1/6th scale figure looks great in terms design and aesthetic. However, it's also quite fragile, which makes purchasing the figure very difficult, especially for it's price. Otherwise, thanks as always Dean. I really appreciate the hard work. Yup, just got another e-Mail from Sideshow telling me she won't be available until September. Total BS! The last payment I made was in June 2016, and my final payment can't be made until they get her in stock. Over a year after she was supposed to come out, and I still don't have this thing. I'm tired of Hot Toys. They waited until the WW movie to drive up demand for her. There's no reason for this figure to have been delayed as many times as it has been.

Thanks Dean, this was really helpful to make my decision. I'm amazed that HT could release a figure in such a fragile state. This is very much still in a design/development stage. Hot Toys are not really doing themselves any favours releasing figures like this. Hopefully future versions will see bigger improvements over this one. Great, honest review m8, much appreciated

Extensive reviews like yours are necessary because we collectors need to know what we're in for, that's the whole point of a figure review.

Nice review, Dean. I think I figured what "bothers" me about the face. It's seems really "soft" and not a more fierce battle ready face. I'm still gonna pick this one up. It's Hot Toys first attempt at Wonder Woman, so I'll cut them some slack and support their effort. Doesn't bother me that she'll have to be in some museum poses.

I´m just surprised how these long time Hot Toys collectors still didn´t learn not to buy the Hong Kong first batch, if you buying the HK batch you´re testers. They always correct the issue of the figures before the US batch .

Thanks for the thorough review of the WW figure. The figure sculpt looks really good and the hair doesn't bother me at all. The shiny skin looks like perspiration. The limited pose issue with regard to the 'skin' is a bit concerning and how the skin will age over time isn't known. The figure is still quite remarkable and i look forward to seeing the real figure later this year.

I cancelled her during the flex pay process. Cancelled over the likeness and them hiding the shoulder area in the first released photos. Glad I did, especially since the sculpt on the Training Version WW already looks better. Which gives me hope for the standard version from the second flick. Steve L There is some truth to that, but overall it's this almost unfaltering view of Hot Toys that a lot of collectors seem to have. I love and respect Dean and I don't think of him as a blind fanboy, but in this video he just seemed contradictory; he kept criticizing how awful the body and hair were, how inaccurate the face sculpt was, and how bad the overall articulation was, yet he still made sure to call it "great" every few minutes. He even went as far as trying to change her hairstyle and the lighting around her face just to get the Gal Gadot likeness to "pop", as if it's not the bad sculpt that's at fault. Just what is "great" about this figure? It fails to tick any of the marks of a great figure, let alone a 250$+ one.

Sadly, other 1/6 scale companies don't offer many licensed movie/game figures, which made HT "ALMOST" the only option. That being said, I've been collecting figures from Phicen (Now called TBLeague), DamToys/VTS, Threezero, ThreeA...

Thank god someone finally is speaking up about this. This shit is unacceptable, especially for a figure that's fucking 250 dollars. That's a lot of money for a fucking doll/figure already. If it has any breakable parts that the consumer cannot control why price it so highly? I hope one day they have another competitor to bring out their best quality. Because collectors just kiss their asses when it comes to these figures.

Movie Accurate love how shows the instruction manual as I remember how I reviewed mine for Iron Man MkXLVI and I was pissed the entire time because the neck post which is not easy to take off includes no tools or instructions on the best way to take it off just says take off LED light up head then put Tony Stark portrait on with neck collar. And I said they're idiots. The accessibility on my MkXLVI is terrible. Pieces are like challenging to take off at least nothing falling apart due to bad factory glue but it's incredible the lack of accessibility they made the new suit.

6.5/10 It would have gotten a 7 if HT didn't take so long. The biggest issue for me is the body, it's a fragile statue that may or may not degrade/discolor quickly. If it had cost $199 US shipped I would bump it up to a 7.5. And that's about as high as I can go on this one. Kinda regret the PO but if i don't like it in hand i'll just sell it.

Matthew Thompson That's most likely what I'll do but I'm sure some third party will make her outfit and accessories so you can just buy that, a phicen body, and a custom head sculpt. I was so close to buying her but I seen that chinese video with subtitles where they said that Hot Toys themselves said not to leave her arms and legs bent for longer than a hour. Some straight up bullshit.

Correct, real hair not only looks more natural for realistic Hot Toys figures it is a additional articulation which would be lost if it were sculpted. Real hair allows you to style with a little hair product or position it to appear wind driven just like if you wanted a cape with a wire to be posed. Sculpted hair also severely hinders head articulation. If sculpted hair is so appealing then I guess people should just get a sculpted resin of hair and wear it like a hat.

Great review all the way buddy , I like the height comparisons . I do agree the likeness is there but I think the issue is that she has no expression , just a blank stare which adds to the Barbie effect and is why Harley has the opposite effect and looks so fantastic . They should have given her face a bit of attitude . Hot Toys is definitely inbetween a rock and a hard place on this body .

Not at all. The gloss on mine seemed to mostly fade away after a week or so. I prefer her with a bit of sweat rather than being dead dry / matte. Plus the lighting in the room at night made mine look worse than it really was. Should have filmed it in the day really.

Is the head removable? "if" I get this figure, it will be for the body/costume. I don't like the face, the teeth and the hair looks like shit. Costume looks very nice though. But this figure does look like Lady Gaga. Gal Gadot is much more beautiful than this. If the head pops off...I'll get the figure and do some customizing but otherwise, it's a pass for me.

How disappointing. The Wonder Woman movie was ok, and Gal Gadot imo has always been too skinny as Wonder Woman. I'm sure she's a badass and trains hard, but her frame is just not big enough. She looks like some cosplay chick wearing armor two sizes too big. It"s even more apparent on this figure. Hopefully the Wonder Woman, or Justice League figure will fix the problems with this figure, because it's a damn shame. Unfortunately even if they fix the problems with the figure, they can't fix the problems with Gal herself. As always thanks for the insight and great video regardless.
