Went to my first Tuna show in 1975 yes I'm getting old! Probably have seen Tuna or Jorma 100 times and one thing you can count on there will be some different element to any song every time you see them! Both are in their 80's hopefully they'll play for ever but I know they've given me endless listening pleasure

Hot Tuna / Leon Russell (summer of 70) Dead /Riders/Tuna (Fall 70) Tuna ... CW Post 1973 (Fall73) ... the never ending show... only show I ever attended where the band didn't take a break, but at a certain point the audience did ...show went on well over 4 hours... and streams of people went outside for a break Again in 75 at Stonybrook .... After that life got in the way ...remember Albany with Roy Buchanan and The Band .. that was the last one

@@johnnaylor1706Most of my Tuna shows were just 4-5 hour Tuna shows although at 80 they usually come in a little short of 3 hours 😂

Greatest thrill of my life was seeing Hot Tuna acoustic. Now I need to see an electric show. If you don't know Jorma, you don't know Jack.

From all these years that I've listened to this, it has always been Jack's Bass that gave this tune the power it needed to put it on another level. One of the best rock instrumentals of all time.

At his technical height in the late 1980s, Jorma was one of the best Piedmont-style guitarists in American history. Always on my Mr Rushmore of acoustic guitarists.

@@donbuck8110 Oh yeah, there is a video of JK saying he had nothing to do with JC anymore and did not think they would ever get back together. Financial considerations keep these guys together, because that is what they are known for and they cannot make a living apart. That is tough to do if really dodo not like someone.

Our musical angels still among us So humble kind and masterful These two are warriors that destroy darkness And Reveal light. With their weapons Axes is hand. They show the light ahead that we forget In the midst of such heartbroken darkness Thank you so so very much Jack and Jorma You two created a miraculous symphony that will grow in our hearts forever beyond this life reminding us. Basic human needs and basic human deeds Reveals our common ground And musical masterpieces reveal that I dream I see Hot Tuna again. As they come soon their 57th anniversary Still flowing and nurturing. like water {🔥}:=}

Was in high school when this came out. I loved it so much, but never knew the band. I had heard of Hot Tuna, but on the East coast they weren't that big. Fast forward 50 years and this beautiful instrumental somehow pops up on my playlist. I am in heaven. I cant describe how good this tune makes me feel . I was never a big JA fan, but I am certainly now a fan of Jorma and Jack.........Keep on truckin'.

One of the finest and most unique rock instrumentals ever. Jack Cassidy's distorted bass was a powerful palpable part of this song and sadly it is almost missing on this version. Still, a great somewhat underrated piece of music.

"Underrated" is most over-used word on music videos. Underrated by who may I ask? You do not know do you...
@pirpirpir-os7ms Жыл бұрын
it's only distorted by playback equipment. One might possibly benefit by better playback equipment. just sayin', don't shoot the messenger. Very cleanly engineered recording. Try someone else's system just for ho hos is what I'm sayin'. Love your comment, keep on, pray on, press on.🤗❤

We saw them at People's Temple on Geary in 70s, they played for hours. And they said, "Come back tomorrow we're playing more." Didn't charge a thing. We hitched a ride with some businessman from the midwest amd after that nite, well I think he had some pretty good memories.
@donbuck81105 жыл бұрын
You can't hear the bass because it's on u-tube not the original record. Hook your laptop to your amp or reciever and run it through a graphic eq. You will get more volume and gerat sound, otherwise buy the record and play it on a turntable, I have boath options and I like the vinyl sound. Music quality sucks on line but if you tweek it it can sound really goog. BTW I haven't seen a copy or Burgers by Hot Tuna in 40yrs
