Trippy trivia: the 1993 version was the 25th Anniversary edition, but its now been *another 26 years* since they came out, making the reissues older *now* than the originals were back in ‘93 😱

I want to share a tip. Kiwi shoe polish makes an Express Shine, instant shine sponge (neutral). Rub it on the plastic canopy and it will look wet and glossy too. I also use it on old cars that don''t need a repaint, but it makes the plastic look great.

As an 8 year old in 1970 I looked far and wide for the Paddy Wagon & Red Baron to no avail, then one day they showed at the local grocery store. No money. I hid them in the back of a store shelve, collected bottles for money and came back in a few days and bought’em. Wish I still had them.

Awesome as always. Had one of these as a kid, gave it to another kid quite a while back. Would have loved to see the top a different colour....maybe white? Back in the 70's I remember the cop cars in N.Van. being a strange purple and _???_(could it have been white?). Oh man I am old...LOL! Keep up the good work Dude.

Stellar job as usual bud. I for one would enjoy rough estimates on how much the car is worth both before and after they receive your loving touch. Also, does the superior spectraflame technique alter anything value wise? Or is it already screwed as soon as you drill the posts? Long time HW collector of 30+ years, just recently (in the past few years) thanks to you, have tried my hand at modification on a few new main lines. Don’t have the balls to touch my redlines, not even the old trashy ones in my junk yard. Speaking of my junk yard... how many of you guys are still reading this? how many of you have your diecast collection displayed in your home? I’ll hang up and wait for your answers...

@carl-johanDkaze2787eriksson4 жыл бұрын
Yeah i am with you on that one the stripping of the paint is one of the best parts of these resto clips
@kenwinston22454 жыл бұрын
Even though the reissues are common and good for parts what makes the old cssting more desirable? You're stripping a complete one to make another thats still not original? I love the custom paint , but can something fun be made of the donor, maybe with a printer?

You would probably benefit from a small vise. It would probably make drilling a breeze.

I'm a total car guy! Did you know that the paddy wagon is based on a 1913 ford model t c cab panel truck? Police officers used versions of this vehicle to transport prisoners. Those versions were called "paddy wagons." That car's just a hot rodded model t c cab! Stay cool! Oh. Fyi I have some 1:24 scale cars I'd like customized. Let me know if you're interested.
