We actually do not differ all too much on controversial cars. You have a lot more in mid than I do, but you also ordered them within the tiers so that’s interesting. If you have something more than one tier different than me, I usually see where you’re coming from like Surfin school bus or hyper mite. I also like how you mention how they perform in certain missions for speed run purposes, and I might have mentioned it for a few, but handbrake is important. I’m pretty sure mega duty, twin mill two and maybe flash fire? Are the only ones that use that engine noise? All I know is that when I was using twin mill two as a kid and in the beginning of the game that it was unbearable after about one or two missions. Great video!

Thanks! It is interesting to see how we overall had some similar conclusions and just a couple major differences. I love how in your video you referred to Hypermite as a "little germ". That's a better description than I would ever be able to give.

As a Sho-Stopper main, I'm actually okay with the ranking lol My only problem with the car is the understeer and the weird body roll, but other than that, it's a solid car and I love it to bits, I beat the game with this car too

@@abluecar5375 understeer is a problem with every car in the game. Some more than others, but I don’t think sho stopper is too bad. I actually like the body roll because it makes drifting a little predictable to me.

I'm a fan of Sho Stopper too because of the color scheme and it looks similar to the 1999 Pontiac Gran AM. The car is also labeled Seared Tuner in Hot Wheels World Race.

It’s not. Deora ll is getting bonus points from Overdrive for helping with no-gadget runs. In reality, it’s a trash car that can’t even do the boost glitch.

Solaire CX4 is actually an A tier car. It’s a budget Krazy8’s with just less armor. It’s honestly so similar that I hardly can tell the difference. Maelstrom may actually be the most underrated car in the game. It’s unlocked very early, has 60 speed 50 grip and 70 stunt with a 30 armor. Despite the low armor, this is one of the best point spreads in the game for any car, especially for an early unlock. All in all, it’s an A tier car for sure. Suzuki gets slept on as well, but it’s too slow to say it’s better than anything middle rank.

that footage of you using vulture to tactically push cars to flip over after knocking them back with a weapon is super satisfying. twin mill is one of the vehicles i've forgotten about the most so i was suprised to see a starter car rank so low when i remembered them feeling all about average, aside from maybe sooo fast being kinda sketchy. Shoutouts to so fast and way too fast not feeling all that fast lol. The gold look was always pretty cool to me tho, dont think ive seen a gold twin mill like that anywhere else. Thanks! As for the beta vehicles... Hmm... I think they would generally fall towards the middle of all the cars, but I recall Jester having pretty good stunt so it could be in upper C tier?

I'm surprised you put HW Prototype 12 in B tier considering it's nearly as good as Vulture with top speed and the fact that you use it often. It's flawless when the cheats are activated.

It's mainly that Vulture is so much more agile, evasive, is smaller, and has better stunt.

I just figured out which vehicles would be best for me if I was to still play this game. This is a good video though. For Challenges, I would use Overbored 454 since it has better grip and stunt than MS-T Suzuka. For Missions 1-11, I would use Krazy 8s, Vulture for Mission 12, and for Missions 13-14, I would use Krazy 8s as well. For Joyrides, I would use Jaded, Hyper Mite, Maelstrom, Splittin Image 2, and Shadow Jet. Power Pistons and Rigor Motor have a poor stunt and grip status compared to the other vehicles. For Drag Races, I would use HW Prototype 12, Arachnorod, Jet Threat 3.0, Greased Lightnin’, Vulture, and Sol-Aire CX4. For Battles, I would use Power Rocket, Deora II, Lakester, Krazy 8s, Evil Twin, Hyperliner, Mega Duty, and Surfin School Bus.

Krazy 8s is truly an excellent choice for the entire Adventure mode. It can handle strict time limits requiring speed, as well as take many hits in battle.

I wouldn't say Way 2 Fast is that bad. True that it's long and a bit slippery. But I think more to behind using it. Since it does have a fair amount of speed to at least be used in racing. Still has some stunt in it, so it's not completely hopeless. I think it can work fine in battle as long you're clever with positioning. I will say that I wish it had 100 speed. So it actually fits in with its name better. The length is a problem and it does have weak armor. So I feel like it getting better armor and better speed would help the car a lot. Esstionally a faster Surfin School Bus an aggressive brute as opposed to a brawny tank like the bus. At least it'a far better than Greased Lightning and Rigor Motor. I love Deora 2, and I have a soft spot for Way 2 Fast. that's probably why I feel this way about it.

Way 2 Fast and Sooo Fast are definitely contradictory to their names, which has always annoyed me. Especially because Sooo Fast is one of the slowest cars in the game and is a starter car. At least, Way 2 Fast has some speed.

​@overdrive_srs makes you wonder that people could improve the cars with mods. How much this would change if people had changed the cars in several ways. VX is such a unique game that's there's nothing like it. Even Twisted Metal. But maybe perhaps the some of the cars function the way they are due to the short development time and lack of feedback from people who had the demo. But regardless of how meta the cars. I love how the cars look. That they tried to make them seem like real cars compared to other games that make them like toys.

I'm not as experienced with that game, but with some more time playing all the cars, I might be able to come to some conclusions. Honestly, I'd probably be way better at making a track tier list for that game than a car tier list, so if one of those happened it would be tracks. Not a bad idea.

Least jet Threat 3.0, my favorite car, is decent, b teir feels good about it, tho if i were the one with the list, i'd bump it up to A. Just wish it didn't slide out much, tho that could just be my overzealous driving with a thing as nimble as it is.

Yeah the sliding is a recurring problem I have with it, and that essentially keeps it in B for me. The speed and stunt are good though of course

Playing this as a kid so much I’m not surprised vulture is like the best car and Krazy 8s. Was a little shocked about Prototype 12. Also which version would you recommend PS2 or GameCube? I’ve been wanting to reply this bad.

Krazy 8 was solid in this game and in hot wheels bash arena it was the #1 car in stats. So I just assumed after that it would be good in any hotwheels games it shows up in lol

That list seems a little harsh to me lol. It would've been cool if you also factored looks into this imo. I quite like Power Pistons because of that. Vulture is love, Vulture is life. Sol-Aire CX4 is quite solid, it has one of my favourite engine sounds too. I'd say the compact cars like Muscle Tone, Flashfire, Maelstrom are also quite good.

@@overdrive_srs mostly gameplay, for me I would do memorability as well, some missions like the turbine sands halfpipe fight, the crankshaft bay roller coaster, and the difficult bomb sections in the sewers all stick out to me
