What I've noticed particularly at Hot 97 but across a number of American platforms, when they interview UK 🇬🇧 rappers they don't actually talk about their music sonically, the beat selection, the flows, themes and tempos or even the albums they have made themselves. They focus exclusively on the culturally differences between the UK and USA then have long convos about the differences in slang and gun culture, COMPLETELY ignoring their artistry or catalogue, it's also more apparent they have done surface level research on the artist themselves and the genres of music they produce. Whereas when UK interviewers interview American artists they have done far more research and talk MUSIC. ‼️
