Hotchkiss Drive | Skill-Lync

The power and torque are transmitted by the engine to the wheels, and due to this, the vehicle starts to move. The torque produced also twists the differential housing which is subjected to slight deform. This reaction is known as torque reaction or end torque. So, two types of arrangements are introduced to withstand both the thrust and torque reaction.
Today, we will talk about the Hotchkiss drive. During the mid of the 20th Century, the Hotchkiss drive started gaining popularity and replaced the shaft drive and chain drive. Further in this video, we will be talking about the arrangement of the Hotchkiss drive and its purpose.
