One thing I realized while watching this video is how the Chibi Robo energy system is a continuation of ideas present in Moon. In Moon your character only had so much energy that gradually drains as you walk around, so you have to plan out your day so you don’t pass out from exhaustion. This Chibi Robo system seems like a refinement and continuation of that system, which is really neat!

This is a fantastic video and I think does a great job of encapsulating why Park Patrol and the DS is great!!! The mix of Casual and Hardcore titles is part of the reason I still gravitate to the DS all these years later! Park patrol will always have a special place in my heart as the game that got me interested in the chibi robo franchise as a whole!

I have known and held reverence for Chibi-Robo for quite a long time, i think i somehow played a little bit of the original at a friends house maybe. But i had never sat down and played any of the games for any extended period of time. Two days ago i started Park Patrol and i finished it this morning. I thankfully was able to play it on actual hardware, so i didn't have to go through any of the struggle of trying to emulate its quirky control scheme. I had an absolutely delightful time playing Park Patrol and have the original GC game plus the Clean Sweep English patch downloaded and ready to start playing soon. Amazing video my dude

I loved this game, I just replayed it last year. I think it's understated how brutal the early game can be with having such limited Happy Points to even stay alive with, especially with how hard it can be to get used to the "Music playing" system that actually lets you propagate flowers. I appreciated this aspect though, honestly makes me wish there was a hard mode that kept that same kind of difficulty throughout.

This game looks wonderful! I really am hoping we see a new round of innovation with touch and split screen inputs like we saw with the DS.

I remember as a kid I didn't really care for Park Patrol as much. I absolutely adored the first one on GC, played it so much, beat it at least 2 times, which for me as a lot seeing as I didn't beat most games that I had. It has its charm, but it just felt very grindy. The world felt small, the characters didn't seem as interesting. Idk it just lacked a lot of what I loved about the first game. Maybe I'm due to give it another try. I just remember being so excited on my way to Walmart to get it, being excited as I read the back of the case over and over, and then the game was just.. not what I wanted. Idk. Your video is making me rethink how I feel about it.

smh, they didn't even mention the best Chibi-Robo game on the DS... good video regardless, Chibi-Robo (and all of Love-de-lic's stuff) is really cool. Check out Okaeri! Chibi-Robo! Happy Richie Oosouji , it got a fan translation and I think it's the best game in the series.
