I like how Cole tries to blame Ser Arryk for not protecting the kings child, while these also 2 other kingguard, all while Cole was clapping checks with the Kings mother. All because Ser Arryk's brother changed sides, dude was looking for any reason to blame anyone but himself, hes their commander. If was Ser Arryk i would have taken the free trip to dragonstone an change sides like my brother, F#ck Cole.

I believe that master Aemons remark about love being the death of duty is untrue.Love and duty go hand in hand as one of mens strongest qualitys.You never have to choose between both beacuse it is a impossible choice like choosing between your children who will die.It always goes hand in hand.You sometimes choose duty knowing that you do it for love.And sometimes you choose love beacuse its the only thing that will save you.

What? Love and duty cannot go hand in hand even in the basis of psychology alone. Duty is doing what is necessary REGARDLESS of how you feel about it. Love is allowing yourself to be vulnerable and trusting the essence of what's in front of you; a common phrase known as "magic of the moment". I understand your correlation but it is deeply misguided. Your remark saying "And sometimes you choose love because its the only thing that will save you" shows the flaw in your logic (I am unsure if this was a paradoxical metaphor but you gave no tells). If you choose love because it will save you then you are abandoning duty. Now the profoundness of why love trumps duty is because children when born are complete and utterly vulnerable only relying on who's in front of them for shadow. You ever wonder why people call their intimate partners "baby, honey, love"? That long phase of dependency created something that has been immortalized for millenniums

First of all nothing beautifull in tragedies only horrors exist in it.This is one of those horror stories.But to be fair ser Arryk who supported Aegon was more wrong here.Why ? They both took oaths to defend the royal family.And they were present at the moment King Viserys declared Rhaenyra as his rightfull heir.So by to that extent they knew surley who the king appointed to ascend the throne.They only serve the king and the king only public and verifid comfirmation of an heir was when he called the Lords of Westeros to stand for Rhaenyra.The king did not make the same thing for Aegon.Even if they believed somehow that on his deathbed we declared for Aegon you should be highly suspicous.As should have all the Kings Guard besides Cole who had his own interestes.So by that ser Arryk declared for a usurper broke his oath and even more dishonoured himself in going to an assasination mission dismissing the chivalry code he fought for and listen to Cole who is least to say a major cunt.Also he was arrogant enough to say to Aegon that he flees what others men desire,like he wants the throne for himself.He decided the outcome of their tragedy.He did die for his beliefs but he was decived.Arrogance is the death of duty.
