Check out Tony Levin, who's got to be the most instantly recognizable player. A bassist who's played the instrument with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson among others, and founder of the Stick Men, for a few suggestions.

Henley's issue isn't that no one is allowed to cover Eagles songs, but that artists who wish to do so need to go about it correctly. He blocked a cover of 'The End of the Innocence' by rock band Okkervil River, mainly because the band changed some of the lyrics before recording it, both without permission...

Only one I've heard playing the Stick is Tony Levin with King Crimson, where it was pretty much the bass. These two use the instrument to its full potential. I was a little worried they weren't going to do the harmony triplets at the end, which, to me, is one of the most powerful parts of the song. But he played them perfectly. Great rendition of a great old favorite, thank you.

@Xix1326 I've seen King Crimson twice with Tony Levin. Do you honestly think the only thing Tony did on the Chapman stick was just playing bass notes? You weren't paying attention. You need to do more research on Tony Levin. The two young people in this video did a great job, but they pale and comparison to old pros like the aforementioned Mr. Levin AND Trey Gunn.

In the 1990s, I found hollow-steel tube 'harps' shaped like open angel wings (or fingers forming a 'heart' shape. The player sat behind this rig - it was 4-5 feet tall - and it was awesome. Sometime during those strolls (thru the subway tunnels), I hear folks playing something like these Chapman 'sticks'.

Lesser known fact: the instruments are in fact extremely heavy, while the people playing them weigh less than air and would float away without the heavy instruments in their hands.

I was thinking the same about the cute wife/gf who is tiny next to the fretboard. Where did this guy find a talented babe who happens to play the same obscure instrument? Or... how do you convince your sweetie to learn an obscure heavy instrument with you...

The last time I was in England, admittedly 34 years ago, the Australian Guiter/Digeridoo duo we buskering in Covent Garden. Since then, they've gone on to record several albums of their music. There's a nobility to buskering. It's probably (and hopefully) the oldest human institution in the world. This duo is heading in the same direction. Fine stuff.

I worked at a music store about twenty years ago. Emmett Chapman came in and played a guitar for awhile one of my coworkers said, ‘do you know who that is?’ I said, ‘no’ and he told me. I knew about the Chapman stick, but didn’t know anything about the guy who made it. We didn’t have a Chapman stick, but he was pretty good at a basic guitar, too, lol. Jimmy Hendrix’s dad came into one of the other stores pretty frequently, too or so I was told, but I never met him. Wasn’t the store I mostly worked at. Roger Fisher did a seminar at the store once, he was pretty cool and I had a girlfriend whose babysitter had been one of the Wilson girls, can’t remember which one. It’s funny the weird connections a nobody like me can occasionally make in a lifetime.
