My Daughter and her partner has just bought one and showed it to me (DAD) and her MUM. My wife and daughter are now going to Meadowhall to get another. The sachets are worth every penny they come from a chocolatier after all. We're more than impressed, it's virtually silent. We won't be using the sachets every time, we will also be using coffee but a frothy coffee... Mmmm I can seriously recommend the Velvetiser 100% We warmed up the mugs with hot water poured it out then filled the mug with the seriously frothy HOT CHOCOLATE absolutely gorgeous.👍😷👍

I use a £30 milk frother and put hot chocolate and shaved chocolates in it and it does the same thing! Not sure what's so special about this machine other than the branding. Mine has the added bonus of having three froth settings and a cold mix setting.

Yeah there are definitely alternative machines out there which can produce very similar results. The dualit mik frother should be a good alternative as it’s their technology that is used in the Velvetiser (if I remember rightly) and the description says you can make hot chocolate in it. We also have a video on the channel where we made hot chocolate in the aeroccino 3 in case anyone wants to watch that.

Just received mine today. Got a half-price machine with a 1 year subscription for chocolate from Hotel Chocolat direct. £13 per month for the chocolate sachets for a year. Definitely worth it hopefully! Have you tried the different chocolate brands in your Barista recipe machine? I have one of those too. (Yes, I admit, I'm a gadget freak!)

We’ve tried some luxury chocolate flakes off Amazon in the barista in another video but need to try more! Good to hear I’m not the only person with both machines 😅 You’ve actually persuaded me to look at that subscription deal again as been thinking about trying the podster coffee machine out and think that’s available half price too 👍🏼 Thanks for the inspiration!

@@A2BProductions love the Velvetiser and find their own sachets the best, but it makes a good Horlicks too with Moma oatmilk barista :) Just having my first coffee from the podster along with the same hot milk frothed up in my little Dualit milk frother (hot or cold) :)

Great review guys love ur content. Bought one today in copper and it really is an astonishing piece of kit in my eyes. So well made a nice weight and the hot chocolate is heaven in a cup. The best hot chocolate I have ever tasted bar none. I actually think the drinks are good value for money considering the exceptional quality ur getting. Plus they are so rich that like you say the amount you get per serving is perfect What is your favourite flavour??

Thanks Karl and glad you’re liking the machine 👍🏼 Being honest we’ve mainly bought big bags of hot chocolate flakes on Amazon to use in it but have to admit the Hotel Chocolat ones are the best we’ve had. What flavour is best though 🤔 Don’t need asking twice to try them all out again 😂 Will see if I can get a variety pack delivered at a decent price.

My wife has one,used it twice,The drink is not hot enough for her.Even having to put hot water in a mug before hand is what the item should do in the first place. Expensive for what it does.

Yeah I prefer hot chocolate a little hotter but my wife and kids are happy with it. Shame they don’t have low and high temperature settings.

If my daughter comes around, one sachet makes us each a perfect cheeky little hot chocolate in an Emma Bridgewater mini mug. It’s so perfect that nothing else is needed, no sugar, no sprinkles, no cream,no marshmallows, no chocolate flakes or dunking biscuits or cakes, just the perfect treat on its own (my daughter sometimes adds a bit of brown sugar to hers when it’s the darker choc). I bought the autumn/Xmas selection plus a regular selection and also received one box with the machine so enjoyed sorting the sachets into Autumn (hazelnut praline/salted caramel/pumpkin/3 usuals)/Xmas (orange/mince pie/salted caramel & clementine/dark/classic)/Winter (vanilla-white/mint/3 usuals)/ & Festive Feb (chilli/ginger/3 usuals). Then stop for spring & summer! 🎉☕️🍫

If you use the coverture chocolate to save the internal whisk heat up a small bit of milk in microwave or pan then add all the choc to that to melt then add that mixture to the machine with the rest of the milk and there will be no issues with breaking down large bits of choc .

Come on , don't worry you can use it with any chocolate powder you can use it with any chocolat you prefere you grated and use it, anyway what's wrong with that casserole you have in the cupboard. Don't lesten to those two dodos they are paid good money to make you pay for this pot. Keep your money for buying something usefull for your self or for your 🏠

Yeah that is a con for the machine. You can use other brands of chocolate though if you want to.

I disagree especially for the quality of the chocolate you are getting. Ud pay £2.90 for a hot chocolate in a cafe and it wouldn’t even come close to this. Just my opinion anyway

But the Aldi label doesn't make my mates swoon in awe like the Hotel Chocolat one. They love the fact I have so much more money than them and can afford better kit. My hot chocolate brings all the cool cats to my crib ;)

If you live in the US DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! They discontinued the packets in the US, STAY AWAY! I wasted a birthday gift and now it will go in the garage to collect dust with the ice cream maker and air fryer. Spend your money on ordering a mocha from a restaurant. Also, as a device, it is not very good at all.
