A very nice hotel with an excellent view! The one thing I wish is that the star system was more consistent throughout the world. I think if you where in Australia, New Zealand or in North America (Las Vegas for example) this hotel would be rated higher than a 4-star. Once again Mr. K.....an excellent place to call home and your video did Singapore justice. Thanks again...

agree allan !!

The star system is grounded in defined features. Eg - 24 hour room service, wifi in hotel, on site restaurant etc. Just tick off boxes with hotel. Not like someone has a look and makes subjective decision. So the hotel TV doesn't have BBC or CNN news - so a minus. Probably right its 4 star.

So it is just the channels or the features listed above wifi etc weren't available ?

jeet king Shangri La would like the place to be 5 star. It isn't. Defined by a multi billion dollar hotel industry, same rules be it India or Australia. I'm just quoting examples

Was looking forward to this video, so jumped on a computer when i saw the notification you had posted it. Hotel looks good, a nice mid tier hotel. You should have had a marshmallow! Really liked the pool area and the view, and of course the gardens and greenery the hotel has. One of the most impressive things about Singapore is how green the place is, something people don't realise until they visit the place. Agree with what you say about that type of shopping mall, never buy anything from them, makes you wonder how the shops in them survive. Have you ever been to MBK Bangkok, now that mall has everything you could ever want. Great video as usual, thanks for taking the time to make it....... and thanks for the mention!! So where next?? ... if you do requests ;-) how about Parkroyal On Pickering, loving the greenery of Singapore would be great to see one of your videos from there. ... One small point, you say MBS is the most famous building in Singapore, do you think it's more famous than Raffles Hotel now??

Made the video for you mate! And thanks for the tip. I mentioned you along with - Jeremy Clarkson, George Michael and Piers Morgan - so you are in the same bracket now - hahaha! Piers Morgan is really good - his videos on travels brilliant. So funny. MBK Bangkok - honestly I hate shopping malls! Hotels I love. That's just me... Next Singapore hotel vid - The Westin, also opened this year. Park Royal on Pickering - not nice. Middle of concrete jungle. Been there with work, no good. On the subject of hotels and buildings - Raffles Singapore, like The Ritz in London - iconic building. When one looks at pics of Singapore online, MBS comes first. I'd say MBS is the most famous building in Singapore....

MrKesavaraj I'm with you on shopping Malls, don't like them, it was just the MBK Bangkok actually sells stuff you might want to buy as opposed to a lot of the so called high end malls. I just liked the look of Park Royal On Pickering cause of the greenery the hotel has, didn't realise you didn't like it. Liked your Orchard rd video too, love that time of night just as night turns to day. Look forward to your next Singapore hotel video, i love the place. You're a lucky lad to be able to call Singapore your home. First went to Singapore in 1993, stayed at Melia At Scotts, the hotel doesn't even exist any more. Since then stayed at The Hyatt again on Scotts Rd, and the last few times it's been many stays at The Carlton, mainly cause it's so close to Raffles and i'm afraid i cant really afford to spends weeks at Raffles. Singapore has changed so much over those 20 odd years, especially the Marina Bay area. Thanks again for these videos, always entertaining. I do spot an English sense of humour every now and then in what you say.
