These were so pretty and delicate yet beautiful. You're a magician with cardboard. I've painted it white then put wax over that and it looked great but I never tried it without the white paint layer. I'll have to do so sometime soon. 🤗

I don't understand why so many people feel they need to say anything other than thank you. These videos are for the inspiration only. Change the color, fabric or shape and FFS leave the BOW out if you don't like it! NO "diy-er" is expected or obligated to give an explanation as to why they choose what THEY like! @@vasiliossiametis6270 they are French Country inspired EASTER AND SPRING DIYS, and yes, if your home is in this theme these would be very complimentary Easter “seasonal” decor. They’re not meant for all year round and they are definitely not classic farmhouse which is far more rustic and distressed. These would also do fine for Easter in a Shabby Chic home as well. I do have year round French Country diy vids if you want to see those.

If I ever become diabetic, I will be injecting insulin as needed according to my blood sugar levels. I read that significantly reduces and in some cases eliminates complications from diabetes down the road. It’s worth the prick! My brother is a doctor and he was pricking me all the time just for research. I don’t mind that. More important that you try to imitate nature as closely as possible. I already eat pretty much sugar free anyway. My sister does too, because our grandma had old age diabetes. I use powdered stevia. I know it’s a hard lifestyle change. Warm hug ❤️

@@HotHumblePie Both my parents and my only sibling all have diabetes. There are 11 years between me and my sister and she has had diabetes since she was 5 years old. Me being the older sister and my parents working, I basically raised her, so I already knew everything about diabetes because I had to take a course in order to take care of her, so when I got it I was good. I use Truvia sweetener because it is more plant based than chemical based. I use insulin according to my blood levels and it feels so good to have normal blood levels...lol! Take care my friend!!❤️

Hi holly. I am so glad u showed that with the modge podge. I use cheater paint put a sealer on my t do not pack it away careful I’m lazy like that and my stuff stays on for years. I do not have any luck with midge podge.

I’ve got so many glass projects I want to do but everything I paint, the paint just peels off! That’s with acrylic or chalk paint. What do you do? These are precious DYI for Easter!

If you’re really struggling try that trick and spray your item with a clear varnish first. It will give the paint something to adhere to. Failing that you can get a multi surface paint and paints that are specifically made for glass and shiny surfaces.

Hi Holly, I am under the weather and it's snowing outside and in the low 30s, but, you have come into my living room as usual thru modern tech and my brain has awakened with inspiration. At Christmas time I revamped a chipboard Santa into a Bethlehem scene and it came out so great with cardstock and Mod Podge. But, due to a large car repair bill, the HOA Fee increase I haven't wanted to even spend $1.25 plus 6% tax on a Dollar Tree egg. I was saving a Amazon box for craft supplies under my bed and a week ago I dumped the supplies into my bed and cut out an egg as best as I could (a tad wonky on the sides) but, I have hundreds of fabric YOYOs made up so I gathered a few of the pastel ones and glued them to the egg. I cannot even recall now what I made the hanger out of but today I planned on putting it on my front door, so thanks for the reminder. I still have a snowman out there hanging. Everyone moved out in my building. I was one of 5 for this building and while I have been at my full time job all moved out within 2 months and I am the only one here.i love the peace and my boost no longer gets taken from Amazon. I no longer smell pot in the hallways. It's awesome. I have a few boxes left to unpack and 2 are marked books. If I do not find my felt bunny swag with white pom pom tails that I hung in my mom's front window I sure hope I find my scroll saw book. I have large and small bunny patterns and I have tons of Easter fabric and pink and purple gingham. I sure want to make your bunnies. I have access to nice boxes at my job that clean hardware comes in. Thank you always for wonderful ideas! Love always, Rebekah

I love them all and I can't pick a favorite. I do love birdhouses and I liked your diy. The cardboard egg was really cool. I was thinking I could cut the doily in half and put it on the bottom of the egg like a pocket to put the flowers in. Then you could see the grain (and a small bow on top). I love your ideas. Always go to your channel first. One of the problems with using the planting pots that you may not have thought of is the pot is designed for quick deterioration. May not be the best idea to hold up weight of glass plates. But I’m definitely using this for inspiration!!

Yes you can! But if you find it’s chipping off because the surface is shiny and or slippery, you will need to seal it. Also when you go to do a second coat it must be very light as in dry brushing otherwise you can re-wet the first coat and it will start lifting. It can happen with chalk paint as well. In general it’s difficult to paint on shiny surfaces. It can be done obviously, but you have to take your time and use a very light hand.

Everything came out so cute. You can totally put bows on the back of bunnies if you want there is nothing wrong with that it may not be for everyone but dosen't make it wrong infact I think it looks super adorable.

I have tried painting on glass with my acrylic paint only to have the second coat pull off the first coat even when I let it dry overnight I don't know why but I found a video that said if you spray it with a matte finish , (spray not brush on), and then you put the second coat it will not pull up the first coat of paint, and that actually worked. Is it an extra step? yes but it's less frustrating than having the paint come off and then having to wash the bottle and start all over again and then give up in abandon.

Yes, that can happen especially if you brush a heavy coat on it will essentially re-wet the undercoat, but I’ve had that happen with Waverly chalk paint as well. In general the best and least frustrating way to paint glass is spray paint using two coats, and drying in between. If you know you want to use a heavy second coat or do quite a bit of dry brushing, then sealing it first definitely protects the undercoat!

I used the Mod Podge clear spray varnish. I showed it briefly. However any clear matte varnish will work. Make sure it’s a spray paint sealant. 🥰❤️

No. You must seal with a clear varnish spray paint or clear acrylic spray. You can also spray the clear varnish first and I have heard that makes the acrylic paint adhere. I’ve never tried it, but it came from a trusted crafter friend.

There is a crafter called Creative Cat who uses card board all the time. She edges the card board with masking tape to cover the edges. I believe she paints over it.

Holly, as usual you knocked it out of the park with your DIYs. I have a ❓ I have been doing pizza pan crafts with cardstock in the center. I use a spray adhesive to put the paper down. That works great. My problem is sealing the paper. I use mod podge, it goes on ok, then it will bubble as it dries. Help please!!

You need to MIST it first with a clear varnish. Any clear varnish will work. If you want the look of Mod Podge, do so afterwards when it's dry. The cardstock will be sealed with a thin sheet of plastic to protect it at that point. Happy humble crafting! xox
