Hahaha, I was thinking that while watching. I don't remember THAT many windows in HLM1. Something I never thought about but. . . man those walls are thin and MAN, bullets should penetrate them. I know it's gamified and all but. . what if you couldn't see the complete layouts of the rooms (furniture, people inside, etc), kind of like in Monaco -- making a feature like that useful without being overpowered.

I'm not the expert on 80's techno music, but the music in HM2 sounds nothing like that :p There's some chiptune (8 bit style) mixed in some of the tracks, but that's a more recent thingy.

DenHond your right after playing and hearing the soundtrack for myself it has a mixture of new age techno with some 8 bit/ throwback 80's Miami Vice type tunes going on. I'm enjoying the game so far that I may have to go and buy the first one.

This game, as well as the first, have a challenging difficulty balanced in a way I’ve never seen before. The levels are designed in a way to where you’re next achievement is figuring out how to kill the next guy leading it to feel like an action, puzzle game.

The second one takes what you know about the first one and goes "MORE AND HARDER" so the first is recommended just so you know what you are getting into. Plus if you like the storyline then playing the first would help obviously, though in both games the story can get a bit hard to follow.

Yeah, the first has a solid difficulty curve, and the second picks up where the first one left off. The first mission they drop you in feels roughly as difficult as the 11th in the original. You could try to brute force your way into it, but its gonna be significantly harder.

Hotline Miami - Much, much better difficulty curve. The story is also simpler, and in my mind, better in that sense. Hotline Miami 2 - Better soundtrack, more variety offered, and a wider story, but also a noticeable and instanteneous difficulty rise from the first one.

Brecondo "Paragon of the Internet" I dunno Infamous was alright.. not great for me. I had no interest in playing through the story again after beating it on good karma.. It's easily the worst Infamous of the franchise. Resogun is great.. it's an indie game but it pushed the hardware.. those other games don't.

I have only played this game for about one and a half hour and I am honestly a bit dissapointed. The soundtrack is not as awesome as in the first game though still pretty good. Playing as numerious characters is not really all that great. Some of them and their stories are obviously better than the other making some of the characters a bit of a chore to play through. I am about an hour and a half in and I don't think they even introduced every character. Their stories also move very slow beacuse you constantly switch and to see a continuation of a story of a character, you have to play through numerous other chapters. The challenge seems significently less fair and it feels like this time the game makes you approach every level stratigecly or you're basicly screwed. EDIT: I have just completed the game and I have to say I rest my case. The story ended up being downright genious and the stubtelty of the narrative as well as it's overall style makes the game so much better. The soundtrack is TOP TIER. I have not heard anything as good in a video game for a while. At the end every character and their story ended up being interesting, smart and freaking awesome. It is harder than the first game and a lot harder to tell the truth. There is not as much freedome but more variety with characters that play rather differently. I did get frustrated more than once but at the end it was all worth it. The gameplay is still addicting and pumping. Seems I got of the wrong foot at the start.
