i wanted to hear what other people think about some mully lyrics and this is awesome! keep on enjoying your work. only your interpretation of 12:07 doesn't sit with me - i don't think she doesn't see him as human after some outbursts. i think she does, but he doesn't see himself as human due to self-deprecation, of that i'm sure. but then what does the lyric mean in total? i can't figure it out.

I appreciate it dude! I love hearing other people's thoughts on the songs, that's kinda the whole reason I wanted to make these videos. I honestly can totally see where you're coming from. I 100% agree that him claiming that she doesn't see him as human is due to his own self degradation. I think part of why I love the song so much is the fact that all of the lyrics are spoken from his perspective about a situation/event/breakup that we as the audience didn't get to see. So everything we learn about it is filtered through his own thoughts and feelings. It kind of makes him an unreliable narrator. So yea, I don't think there's actually a way for us to know whether she thinks of him as less than human or not, but we know that he thinks she does, or that she ought to, which is what's important. It really shows us rather than tells us what his mental state and self image is, and how it leads to this cycle of shitty situations making him feel worse about himself, and due to him feeling worse he finds a way to blame ever shitty situation on himself (like the lyric from This Song is Called Its Called Whats It Called "what way to end the perfect day if not finding what to blame on myself). In terms of the meaning of the whole lyric, I think its a bit more vague. Maybe he says "what will it take" because he's trying to come up with some action, some string of words he can say that will fix everything? He's been trying fireworks and guitar, but he feels like this is all his fault, so he has to try to fix it, even though things aren't that simple. That's my immediate thoughts I guess. Super curious if you've heard any other angles or what ideas you have. Thanks for watching dude 👍
