Because it's so casually inserted, it catches you offguard every time and that's why you laugh. If you were expecting it, it probaly wouldn't be as funny. It would further the gag a ton if they had a bunch of different glass breaking sounds, because then it heightens the surprise that leads to the giggle.

im just a random internet guitarist without name recognition, but i think the kramer baretta special is one of the best low budget guitars around. its simplistic, well made, and pretty versatile for a single pickup guitar. good for modding when you develop preferences too since it only has one pickup and one volume knob but a decent sized electronics cavity.

I've bought this pedal, and it sounds really great, much more better than zoom ms50 or line6. It's more like a KPA for pedals, not just some lame digital pedal. I have a ts9 , and the ts9 model in xtomp sounds exactly the same, even clean up very well, which bias or zoom can never do. For those who thought the distortion sounds terrible, that's because the pedal it clones sounds like that, what are you expecting for a ds1 or metal zone. Definitely worth that price.
@Artec6198 жыл бұрын
I don´t get all the hate on this pedal, the chorus sounded pretty good, distortion was average, and delay was good. It´s like all of you guys commenting had thousands of dollars/pounds to spend on gear.

You know? Sometimes I marvel at all the technology and I am guilty of using it all and get bamboozled by the choices but still refer myself back to Sgt pepper or the White Album (Yes a Beatles fan) being only 4 track. My positives are the amount of effects or tones are free and you don't have to spend a zillion pounds dollars etc to get what you want. When I were younger I had to spend a fortune to buy one pedal. My down side is it all get amazingly complicated and you spend more time trying to work out what you want and stop being creative quickly. I love Chappers and the Captain. Cant resist watching their vids. Keep it up guys.

I can hear the drop in quality caused by this pedal (Probably only because im listening through great headphones), however..... I can understand how this would be an AMAZING deal for most guitar players. This is probably the most valuable tool to take you from the beginning stages of recording and playing into the middle stages. And on top of that, it is very mobile, and thw tech will be supported by the company for many years to come.
@alexmillar82428 жыл бұрын

One thing, in my opinion, that would have made this better, is if the knobs were motorized. Like faders on a digital mixer. Then as you switch pedals each could start from default settings, and allow you to save your settings for each individual pedal to be recalled instantly. The way it works now you just get the knob position from the pedal before which is probably not going to be anywhere near a useful sound on the next one.

I believe it's better for those that have that odd song requiring a certain sound that's not on the rest of the set list. There is no use to carry around a flanger, phaser, auto wah and fuzz pedal if one is going to just use them 5 times each per tour.
@prosanitycheck8 жыл бұрын
to be up front I don't see any viable situation for this thing to really come in handy... live? Too fiddly. The prep time for that thing to work properly in a situation like that could be spent more wisely. Home recording or practising? There are so much more effects, which - in my opinion - sound way better and are not that pricey. To be honest I did not like any of the sounds.
@riffsnreviews8 жыл бұрын
Yep I think this pedal is useful for the following applications : Multi EQ pedals (so you don't have to touch EQ that you like but don't apply for all sounds) - They don't have an octave pedal (drop tone) in the library, if they get one up that would be useful. Useful for lesser used pedals as you said, if the delays are decent that would be good (a lot of good delays are digital). The only thing I wouldn't use was the distorsion/overdrive pedals. I'll probably get one just for the multiple EQs
@alexdattel27578 жыл бұрын
For that price you could get 3 or maybe 4 used EQ pedals

It's about time I left a comment after years of entertainment and help to me and my band mates (since 2010). You two have helped me find the best amps over the years. HOWEVER.. guitars is another matter.. Either I have bad luck or something, but any guitar I have wanted to know more about (in my price range) you haven't reviewed and even at NAMM you walk right past those ones, just giving a sweeping glance as Lee walks by. So I still haven't found that perfect guitar for drop-tuning and metal. My local store doesn't go for those.. More light-twangy Fenders and Gretsch (all good guitars too though)
@joshlawson99488 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of variables that come into play when searching for the perfect guitar. As far as downtuning goes, it depends on how low that you need to go. if I were you I would search out a different music store and try to sample as many different brands that you can get your hands on. My go-to is the prs se line but I'm planning on scooping up an epi les paul in a couple of days. Do as much research as you can whether you buy in store or online. Good luck with your search, and have a great day
@matzer88468 жыл бұрын
i get you ... but nowadays there is a little relief: find a propper "Big store" like Andertons or Thomann or Session and order one with 30 days back guaranties ... I would have a close look at the Ibanez range: the offer great affordable guitars with extended scale length for drop tunings

This is how the word is pronounced in British English. Many Brits ommit the "t" but other than that, I haven't noticed anything odd in how the Cap'n says it. ;)
@ZippyLeroux8 жыл бұрын
Nah the only brits that omit the T from computer omit the t from most words (neither Chapers nor Capn speak in this way), it's not selective and certainly not only for the word computer. What actually happened there was Lee said Computer and Chappers exclaimed a loud and haughty "Yeah" exactly over the Capn's soft T sound, drowning it out and giving us all something silly to talk about lol...

This is great for the studio. I have it hooked up USB to my iMac and it loads in 1 second. using the heads into the FX return of a tube amp is nice, or just using it as an FX pedal, both work great. I have a lot of the pedals that are in this thing, and they are so close, I could leave my real pedals on the shelf. actually I have! Plus you can see everything better on a real computer like an mica 5k 27in!
@AdamCHowell8 жыл бұрын
At this price why would i opt for this over a typical multi effect unit where i could run multiple effects at once with ease? It's size means I could imagine adding something like this to my pedal board if it was cheaper, but I could get something far more functional device in this price range.
@orlock208 жыл бұрын
It could be used as a backup to replace most pedals or for the odd effect one rarely uses.
@Mezurashii58 жыл бұрын
Except it has only a handful of effects in it...
@JamesBalazs8 жыл бұрын
But so could any multi effect unit at the same price, and a multi effect unit would be better, so why would you pay the same amount for less, even if it was a backup? A better backup would be much more sensible than buying this instead because all it's good for is a backup.

If it works like I think it does, the Cab Model is actually the most exciting feature, it would be great for someone wanting to use an amp at extremely low volume to get real tone... with your cab volume all the way down, you could feed the line out of an amp into this and then out to some powered monitors or something to get real tone at true bedroom levels

So I have a tc electronics pipeline tremolo pedal that you can download new sounds to, via your phone by holding it near your pick-ups and yes it makes old dial-up modem sounds and voilà, it travels into your pick-ups through your guitar lead and into the pedal. I think I bought it about 3 years ago.
