I have had this model for just over a month now, it washes and rinses nicely but when spinning it’s been an absolute pain in the ass. I’ve found it’s really annoyingly sensitive when balancing for the spin to the point where it’ll just skip the spin and leave everything sodding wet whether you put an even or uneven load in it, also none of the programmes that are a decent length do the full spin speed. The timer is also really annoyingly inaccurate, it’ll happily add on 30 minutes for no reason and randomly end the cycle with it saying 20 minutes left. Now something quite bad that’s been happening with it, it’s chewed up a bra and two socks! Back in August/September when I was looking for a new washer, I boiled it down to this and one of the new Beko EnergySpin models. I chose this model and initially thought that I made the right choice but I’m starting to have my doubts now, especially if it keeps up with this socks/bras shredder mentality. But a few good things I will give it, It looks very nice, it’s feels sturdy and it’s anti-staining function works amazingly

I've got this exact model, had it a month now and find it does a really great job. I'm well happy with the machine.

Indesit and Hotpoint are together nowadays. Candy and Hoover are too I've recently learned. The good thing is you can get spares easily with these brands.

We have just had this model fitted, as a replacement due to our old Whirlpool giving up after 10 years. The problem we have had with it is the red lock sign not going out and allowing the door to open, after the wash has finished. Any suggestions on what we are doing wrong. Many thanks Julie

This is where you have accidently enabled the child lock on the machine. If you press and hold the key lock symbol for 2 seconds it should get rid of the symbol and you should be able to carry on as normal

On my washing I use 40c and 60c all the time.. I never use eco cycles on my washing machine

Hi, on the Eco 40-60 setting, how can it use less power if it's on for longer? Thanks.

Most of the power is used to heat the wash water, the motor uses far less, so as eco uses a lot less water, it uses less electricity to heat it to 40°C which saves more electricity than the longer run time uses.
