So many spectacular machines, but I've just got a soft spot in my heart for four-door sedans and wagons. That four-door Nova and those wagons were perfect. Being a teenager in the mid-nineties, everybody had to have two doors and prices were way out of my range. Yet their four-door counterparts and station wagon versions could be had anywhere from $50-$300. I never had the nicest or cleanest cars. But they were hell of fun, dirt cheap and got lots of looks, good and bad LOL

It was loaded down with vintage speed parts. Ran pretty strong too! He did the whole 1/8 mile in one gear...obviously geared a little too high for this type of action, but the early Hemi torque pulled it through just fine!

Yes the 32 is really cool that's for sure but with him sitting on the left side of the car and it went down the drag strip and it was leaning hard on the right side is something broken on that car was that just an optical illusion from the filming
@HotRodHoarder4 жыл бұрын
It definitely had a lot of body roll as it was going down the track. Likely just some weak shocks...these cars have transverse leaf springs, so they can get a little twisted up with all that torque from the blown Hemi.

Why are all the drag strips in this area 1/8th mile? Bracket racing is boring enough on it's own why do they have run on half tracks too?
@HotRodHoarder4 жыл бұрын
Most of our local tracks were built as 1/4 mile in the '60s and shortened to 1/8 mile in the '70s for safety reasons. Once all of the local racers started gearing their cars for 1/8 mile, even the newly built tracks were purpose built as 1/8-mile. Since I've grown up with 1/8 mile tracks, I don't really get any excitement out of watching the "second half" of 1/4 mile races unless it's a ridiculously fast car. I agree about bracket racing....boring to watch for sure.
@172-e5s4 жыл бұрын
Sure hate your sales pitches and selfie shot you feel is a good ideal. Here's some good advice. Drop the begging for likes and sign-ups and let your quality do the talking. Also, stay BEHIND the camera. Just copy 37Spiker. Now there's a pro... Gotta say, I do love your video in general though !!
@ShaddenMotorsports4 жыл бұрын
nice little plug for your buddy...i think 48xxx subscribers over 12xxx subscribers shows Tommy is doing just fine. He doesn't beg for likes or beg anyone to buy his stuff. If you don't like what he is doing you sure don't have to watch, subscribe, comment, or buy anything
@HotRodHoarder4 жыл бұрын
None of us KZbinrs are pros. So we do the best we can to grow our audience in our own ways. 37Spiker does his thing, and I do mine. If we all copied each other, KZbin wouldn't be very entertaining. True enough, my videos can be a bit "wordy" because I like to explain things, share my thoughts and obviously promote the channel...but that's just me. Finnegan does his thing, Vice Grip Garage does his thing, and so on down the line. That's the beauty of KZbin...there is no standard formula on how to do it. I do appreciate you watching and your feedback.
@steveclark42914 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with both responses to your comment ! Everybody does their own thing on KZbin just like everybody does their own thing in life ! Can you only imagine what the world would be like if everybody did everything the same way all over the world ? To me it would be so boring that I would fall asleep a lot ! If you don't like what you see here your free to go somewhere else ! I mean nobody is holding a gun to your head making you watch this video ! Have a great day and Merry Christmas !
