Great comparison as usual Mr Jack. I sure miss your falling videos.

I was up on Emily mountain and left a small cable on the side of the rd for about 25 minutes, came back to find it gone. I was back a ways too. no clue who got it because I never ran into anyone. I'm scared to leave gear anywhere.

According to jonsered dealer that posted on a thread only diference is 2166 is choked down and he could make the 2166 into 2172 for $50 1/3 price difference between saws. The only difference between husky 372 and jonsered 2172 is color of plastic engines are made on same line

The filtration/air flow is better on husky.

Jeremy hi. I just did one. It would require replacing the filter base, filter element, aleviating the air filter cover enough for the HD filter element to protrude, and the transfer port caps need to be altered or replaced - which requires the cylinder to be pulled. The transfer caps are not a stock item. So, if your "guy" can do all that with new for 50 bucks, I'd get right on it..... The handle bars are not interchangeable either. Thanks for watching.

@@hotsaws101 I have talked to you on the phone a few years ago about my Jonsered 2166 with a full wrap handle bar and I have to say that I like it. Mine is a 2012 model, I bought it used in May 2016.

Great saw. Have owned one for ten years. Not a speed demon, but hasn't once let me down.

Hey Jack, Im undecided between an 372xp xtorq or the 572xp. Ill be running a 24-28 in bar in very dusty conditions on some hardwoods. Whats your opinion on those two saws? Im wanting a husqy for their air filtration system.

This competition is getting interesting but to see a maxed out (same tricks to all three) Johnsen, Husk, and Stihl go head to head would be cool. Then maybe explain best bang for buck...or at least get a better idea for a future purchase/build.

Mike hi. Later in this video thread, the 372 & J-red go head to head with pretty close to the same amount of work done - the J-red gets a slight nod there. It "wood" be a no real contest situation. The 461 would spank 'em. Might cost a bit more on the 461, but, a guy gets more than a bit more in return. If you want brute force power, get a 461 - while they last anyway. Thanks for watching.

What's the max an min on your ported saws?
@hotsaws1013 жыл бұрын
Nick hi. If you are talking about rpms, it depends upon elevation, bar length, needle settings (if possible), mix oil concentration, the zippkit choice, etc. There is no "x". Not sure why min (if it is indeed rpms) would be a consideration. I don't know anyone that doesn't just grab a handful of throttle and go 95% of the time. Thanks for watching.

If you ever leave one of those things anywhere they also have a tendency to get run over by the skidder. But in a snow covered area they stand out better.
