@@HotshotAdventures I have a question you might have answered already. What about a small business loan to cover expenses? Coming from someone that is unable to save 30+ k to start the business. I know it's risk reward , but it's scary jumping into it with little to no experience.
@HotshotAdventures
@HotshotAdventures 4 жыл бұрын
@@HadokenSWTOR with little to no experience in the industry as you say, I would start on a smaller scale, and test the waters, make sure this is something you can see yourself doing full time. (work for someone else, start with a smaller truck and trailer which will cost less, etc) I would start there before taking a loan out - then potentially finding out this is not what you can see yourself doing for 5+years

Good video. She'll probably scare a lot of wanna be's away that think it's easy. I use Progressive Insurance, $1,900 down $1,150 for 10 months. I do use a dispatcher and he keeps me going with good loads with no less than $2.00 and up per mile. I've gotten many $3.00 and up. Like she say's, shop around. There are big differences, huge price variations. BTW, my dispatcher charges me 7%. He keeps my trailer (40') full and has my next load ready so no waiting for my next load.

Derating a trailer is lowering the weight capacity on the sticker. It doesn't change the cost of insurance, and only you can change your stress level, not a sticker with a number on it. :) Seems like you have it all worked out, I'm not sure where you need my thoughts on anything...I have heard diamond c is a good manufacturer, I think thats what ill be trying out next myself.

@@HotshotAdventures I'm torn. I'm getting my CDL and think it would be more fun running a dually or 2 but I'm going to work at FedEx ground to check it out for a year. I've been a tile contractor forever, had a bunch of dually trucks, a gooseneck(not as long as the ones you run) drove trucks in the Army but I'm wanting to drive a semi and see if it's what I'm into or not. I appreciate you getting back to me! I like your videos. You have a great attitude and you look like you're having a good time

@@HotshotAdventures I was just asking I been holding a CDL since 2011 and I noticed a bunch of companies starting up during and current while going through the pandemic. I just thought it was money out there that I didn’t know about. I heard that it was grants and loans and the PPP loans. Personally I was thinking that you are starting up just like I would want to without having to go to get my cdl and the other things. Besides the MC AND DOT number the trucks and trailers cost a grip. So did you save or get a loan? What direction did you go in? Thanks

If you have specific questions, message me on patreon.com If you want mentorship, I can walk you through each step, sign up for that also on my patreon page. I listed them all out for you. If there are items you're not sure you need, or you don't know what they are, its probably time to do some research, and/or to reach out to someone to assist you along the way. I have also done several videos on many of these items specifically, which go into more depth on different subjects. Check out my Playlists also, this may help.

Its a fair and good question. First thing I would suggest, you're already doing! Research, learn, feed yourself knowledge. Jump on the fmcsa website, learn guidelines. Decide what type of carrier you want to be, non cdl or cold, consider equipment, and start saving money! Youll need it to start
