Where are you getting over an hour of battery life from, I just got this for Christmas and it dies after 18m per battery (According to the DJI Website), 3 Batteries fully charged is 54m and if you add weight you lose runtime.

Rubber bummer makes more sense. That aluminum one is going to brake the plastic over time. In my opinion

the rubber one might absorb shock slightly better, but theres no guarantee it won't shock the drone and damage the body.

You don't buy ANY drone for flight time. Hence why almost any pilot will have more batteries than he/she will need.

Too heavy for me I'm afraid, a ca 15% weight increase is not worth it for me, the thing is struggling as is. Also think it makes it look a lot less desirable. I took my top guards off to shave a grams. Horses for course i guess.

Grweat video! Which right now I can't see any of these add on impacting performance in any way other then meaning it has to use more throttle to cruise and hover... As the drone is one of the most software limited things I know of and I thought the same about the Quest 3 on launch and the aplle vison 3 and the current gen Mac pro and MS co-pilot may most hated softwearlimted thing... But this guy has no reason to have this many hadicaps like if DJI was afrind of someone doing something stupid then why not burry full profornce in the menu and have a warning about how you can get into trouble very fast that way... You know like how no asset is enabled in passanger cars these days despite some cars you should never go without assets as you'll never have control... this drone does not have that issue as being a quadcopter it can't go full manuel like a RC helicopter unless they add 4 thottles for each roattery wing.... And I don't think it can get into deep trouble like a racing/stunt drone made out of scap can... Also the most trouble it can get into it can still get into like violating the FAA drone restreections in your aera or any local privacy, photo and drone laws... So it seems poinless that you can use all it's performance at all times in all modes as the worst thing that can happen is you damgne something mainly the drone... Which you still can by getting the drone stuck and you canm't reaxch it or worse lossing signal over water... Whicjh is stupid as the drone has the limit of being unable to RTB if no signal when it very much can... So yeah I hope DJI opens the flodd gatew softwear side to let this drone see it's full potantional which while being an isnanly great product as is it can be better rather easly...

Oh by the way the better optioj if you want to try the FPV flight mode is a Quest 2 or newer MR headset... As iyt will be much cheaper then any 1080p/4k FPV googles but it's also an MR headset not just a screen you pit infront of your eyes that somehow costs the same as a full XR headset... you can even fly the drone with the quest ciontrollers or with your hands I think should just work but I have seen no one try before... But due to softwear limits if you want the best sstill limited profromance and features you still need a DJI comtroller. Which is just summy paywall as any phone that can run the DJI app should be able to do what the controller does but moving on... But seeing as a quest is still better in very way then a DJI FPV headest while being cheaper it would still make sense to get a Quest over one of those... Anbd if you have a quest 2 or newer and this dronme or a shocking amount of other DJI drone models really anything that still work with the DJI android app... You have no need to get a FPV goggles unless you get a non DJI drone that is...

What the heck is flying FOB? It must mean flying with Freight On Board with all that Freight you added. I don't see a need for any of that stuff, and I don't see any reason to land or launch from anywhere except the palm of your hand. I don't put any cameras I own on the ground especially ones with fans on them that blow stuff around.

I would say it reduces the risk of damage very litlle. And the drone is quite cheap. So should it die it is not that bad to get a new. You dont need to pay for the fly package -
