Avoid Crater pond, the lake at Green Valley, and the Grand Plains river, as crocs known as Sarcos will camp under the water and snag up smaller dinos. Anos hunker down won't protect it from being grabbed. Drink from smaller water sources instead.

I jumped in last night and while I was fighting some turtle that was absolutely wrecking me, a full grown tyrannotitan ran in, killed it, grouped with me, and just kind of hung out and kept me alive while I did quests. Cool guy.

not sure why i sat thru this whole video when i’ve been playing for years but i would make 2 suggestions to new players: Do not accept random baby invites and way stone invites, this is a very common trolling method for losers Don’t think that offical servers are the best and only way to play the game, i play offical sometimes but the vast majority of my time is spent on community servers (i play on and recommend crimson isle) everyone has their own preference for the game and how it’s meant to be played!

Awesome video Velocci! Perfect for all the new peeps coming in with the holidays! Tysm for featuring my map as well! It IS the most UTD version I have available atm. I'm waiting for the foliage update and thinking maybe our in-game map might get updated again with it. For now the map is mostly just missing fish spawns and doesn't include salt rocks, but the corpse spots should still be accurate, and all the bushes mapped still should be there, too. There are just TONS of new bushes players will likely find along the way.

@@murrocity your map is easily one of my favourites! I reference it quite a bit while playing solo, especially since the latest update to it!! I’d say definitely do one with the foliage update! That would be a perfect idea for a map, and good timing too. (I’m also asking because I’d need it too)

Another simple tip ? but when you type in tchat your dino or creature always make a lil roar but not when you eat or drink and also when you sleep ! but if you travel and wanna talk then holding an item in your mounth makes you silent it can be quite handfull at times if you dont wanna be spotted ! but youll drop it if you decide to bite to defend yourself but dinos who use mostly head attacks like horns or headbutss wont drop it if they attack also never accept random group invites from people you dont know same as random waystones invites and if you accept a waystone invite read carefully as it says if its gonna be teleporting you on the lands or in the water !

This isn't the isle. You don't need to be silent and terrified of dying. You can actually escape fights easily in this game unlike trash Evrima.

@@kenshinhimura9387 People can still hear you and go for you , or like take example your a in a pack and wanna hunt some herbivore and wanna maybe do an ambush ? but you use the tchat to talk in game (if you dont go by voice tchats on discord etc ) then you dont wanna singal to you prey where you are so once again by holding an item in your mounth can help here now sure calls dont travel this fast but tbh this tip saved me many times for just being silent but i guess it depens xd also yeah maybe death is not as punishing as in the isle i know but it still can be bothersome if you keep being killed by mixpackers or kos especially on officials

@@LizardWizard707 Its coming from some bad experiences but the one i remember the most was back when pachy was released i was growing mine and came upon two older pachys (sub or adult i think) Who invited me to group but proceeded to kill me shortly after , they chased me down with my group name tag above my dino while i tried to run for my life , they dint speak or anything and i was foolish i know i felt into the trap of fake friendlyness cuz yeah they 2 called etc when they found me but this is mainly why i wont accept random invites anymore from people i dont have talked with or dont see in front of me in game and still i will alway be on guards althou i know not everyone as the same experiences in game and if you had it cool so far im glad for you ! but still always be wary , new to the game or not :)

(For official servers) Also be very patient and keep the good attitude because it’s a fact that there’s a lot of people that play just to ruin other people’s experience and to be rude and mean. Also for your mental health try not reading global chat all the time. Solo experience in official servers is really hard, so playing with friends can make it less painful. There’s a lot of discord groups dedicated to helping new players and babies. 😁

I grew one of everything on a community server, then the host left the discord and closed the server without saying anything to anyone. Official may be slow, but my Dinos will always be there. Haven’t looked back since lol

As a fresh spawn get all the poi's 1st that will carry you to adolescent. Use you hc quest right before adolescent so the xp isn't wasted and use the waystone quest right before sub adult. Never trust anyone you aren't in vc with. Play it like a stealth game till sub adult avoid everyone trust Noone. If you play it like hide and seek you will do ok. Most people rely on other people kindness in this game. As a juvie you are a target you aren't immune to being eaten and you aren't owed favors. Stay out of hot spots. Grow slowly don't rush!! 1 final tip always carry something in your mouth that way if you need to chat your dino won't make noise.

Im trying to get into official but i have no adult dinos. Ive been playing on a community server for the last year, but its recently become managed by a new group of admins who were friends with the old admins, and these new admins routinely abuse their power. Honestly i don't even want to play on their server anymore bc i dont want to invest in growing dinos on their server only to get banned for not giving an admin's pet one of my kills.

The environment is your best friend. If you can hold your breath use water to escape even if you can't swim. Use rocks to stand on when you stand your ground, this will enable you to pivot like a turret. And make use of cliffs to defend yourself or make an escape if you are smaller than you attacker.

The skins you buy with marks stay with that specific dino you grew iirc, i dont think it follows you from server to server, but the skins you buy with real money are permanent. Marks dont stay between dinos either

For the new players, don’t join the solo servers. Everyone in that server breaks the if you’re new to the server, you should probably join a server with the rules first

I feel like the solo player options is cool but they need to stop nerfing dinos to force more group play. Chillo is a perfect example. I love the dino but they keep making it, as well as other dinos so much harder to play as a solo player. And solo mode isnt very great. I get they want to focus group play. But they shouldnt force it so people who want to play solo on regular official get penalized for it unless you play a specific dinosaur

This game will forever be superior to The isle because you can have 20-30 dinos on each server. You aren't forced to kill your dino that took 8 hours to grow simply because you want to play a different dino.

Eat critters or salt blocks. If you eat salt blocks make sure you're not too far from fresh water; one good place I found is whistling columns near the yellow fresh water ponds. Also critters on the beach too can be eaten. In general critters can be heard too. I would recommend trying one of the flyers if you haven't already, maybe not the Hatz as it can be tricky getting airborne and stamina can drain quick. Either the Rhamphorhynchus or Thalassodromeus, these both will eat meat and fish, plus you'll get to explore more easily.

I bought Path of Titans about a year ago now. While I can see why people enjoy it, and I can also agree that the game has improved over the past few months, I just think the base game is still very flawed. The quests are repetitive and boring, with barely any variety. Now, this isn't too much of a problem on unofficial servers, but having to do dozens of these for hours just to grow something like Struthi is very stupid imo, especially when you could grow something like rex in a similar amount of time. Something i do not like about the devs is their tendency to use lesser known animals, like Ano instead of Anky, but upsize it to the point where the only thing that distinguishes it from Anky is the shape of the tail club. Pycnonemosaurus is another example. It's basically Carnotaurus with a bald subspecies. Another one is Barsboldia, which is upsized to fill the niche of Shant. My question is, why are you even using these animals if they are just going to be their more popular counterparts with a fancy new name slapped onto it? This, in particular, just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. It is also hard to find a fair fight on officials and some unofficials because of people constantly starting fights and then running behind their huge Eotrike friends. That's another thing I really do not like, getting sent back to the selection screen because some pachy headbutted my pycno in the ribs and then called his ano, eo, and iggy friends to come and help him when he starts to lose the fight. In my opinion, and hear me again, IN MY OPINION, The Isle is better as a Dinosaur game. I have issues with some of evrima's designs. Believe me, I do, and it is very flawed in some places just like PoT, but i just enjoy the overall gameplay more. The hardcore survival paired with how immersive it is, it's more appealing to me. (Although the lags can be unbelievably annoying at times, the reason I do not mention them is because PoT is having some issues with performance as well atm) I want to state again this this is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, I'm just giving my thoughts on the game and why I don't really enjoy it in the state that it is in.

I do agree that questing can get quite boring, especially on larger dinosaurs but I’m confused about your other statements. They have plenty of popular dinosaurs in the game (Stego, Iggy, Trike, Rex, etc.) so why complain about a few less popular dinosaurs of the same family as popular dinosaurs getting some attention? It feels like you are treating this as if the devs made these creatures up to rip-off popular dinosaurs when these are also very much just cool dinosaurs that are worth it to have in the game. Lastly, the devs are very clearly aware of the issues with giant discord groups ruining the game, which is why they are having all these solo tests. Plus, community servers with rules are also always an option and eliminate the issue with huge mix pack herds easily. I’m not saying you should like the game but like…only 1 of the reasons you listed for not liking the game are easily disproven-?

Another thing I am pissed off about is that I had to buy the game twice for some reason. Any idea why that happened?

Ok I’m going to voice my opinion on this game can’t rate on ps5 so I’m doing it here this game is a 2 out of 5 rating! You’ll love this game if getting killed on site is for you walking simulator and like feathers on your raptors. Supposedly according to official pot website 200 players per server lie on ps5 most I see is like high 80s. Absolutely wish I could get a refund on this game!
