That was one of the sexiest walk outs on to the stage I have seen....Niiice. It made me forget all about Depp pretending to be a rock star before that. The Reverend Billy Gibbons hanging back and playing it cool as always. He doesn't have to prove a thang to anybody.
@michaelhutchence20997 ай бұрын
Johnny is a decent rock musician even before he was an actor. He can actually play that guitar and sing. If you are just seeing a character from a pirate movie, you are not seeing the real Depp. Take Ronnie Wood, he's played guitar forever and so many live shows, but age and inactivity catch up with even the best of them. Other guitarists on the stage there could have nailed the solos probably better, but it wouldn't have been Ronnie Wood. It is the authenticity of each character's performance with their nuances and stylistic identifiers that make it unique and special. Sorry, but Johnny is the real deal.

Not bad for a 50-year-old huh?

Thats the thing, Imelda looks hot, and at 50 she knows just the right amount of spice to put on it. She's not going to overdo it or have it lacking...and at 60 myself, that's a dish I could eat all week.

I'm thinking the same. I bet the guy with the beard is a much better guitarist than the other two. Ron Wood was more interested in ogling Imelda than playing - he can play infinitely better than I can but I don't think he fits into 'lead guitarist'. Who knows what Depp was playing? The guitars and amps had more class & star power than Wood & Depp. Singing was great too.

Once again..Imelda May singing like she always has....just perfection! Ron Wood playing like he always does..with his heart!! And Johnny Dep...well just being Cool....lol. thank you for sharing this... I met the Great Jeff Beck at a place I NEVER in my wildest dreams would meet a Legend...at the Pomona Swap Meet in Pomona ,California.... I was leaving for the day because I had finished up my car parts acvumulation for the day and as I was making my way out of the place, I noticed a figure walking towatds me and he got closer, I realised who it was....I slowly extended my hand out and said " Jeff Beck"! He looked at me and shook my hand and said "Nice to meet you". We introduced ourselves and I asked him what he was doing here. He told me that he and his builder were working on a '36 Ford Project and they came to the SwapMeet to find parts. He asked me what I was working on at the time and I told him about my project and jibber jabbered and wished each luck on each others projects and made our ways. It was a world wind of a day for me...I didnt even work on my project that day...just told my wife who I had met and enjoyed a beer...lol. RIP peace sir. 😊

I have to disagree. Very clear picture, excellent sound. So I could hear a strong band and amazing singer, incredibly hauntingly beautiful in that red dress, but all I saw was a tangle of mics, mic stands, and cables at the center. He later moves a bit to the right but about a foot more would have opened the image up so much more. And zooms out as the singer really starts diving into the song. Zoom in, man, zoom in... But still grateful the performance is preserved.

Ill bet Billy Gibbons was embarrassed by the amateur sounding guitarists on this stage especially poser Depp.

Apart from J. Depp , thought that was an amazing line up of brilliant singing and guitarists and others apart from that I'm so sorry to hear of Jeff s departure ( reminder of when I was younger with my favourite track by the genius himself,Going down,down on the 🍊 album.) Thanks to everyone for giving anyone interested a chance to see class and paying thier respect ,RIP, J,BECK. ❤

Lol you said "apart from J. Depp". Yeah. Everyone was great except for him. Depp needs to take guitar lessons and/or practice more and drink less.

Just because Jeff Beck took in Johnny Depp as a good friend gesture is not a prerequisite to be on stage paying tribute with a guitar in his hand among legends who are in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!! Come on Depp have some common sense and stick to Pirates of the Caribbean!!!LMAO!!!

There's a lot oc negativity about Johnny D. He's always been a musician, he's always played in bands, but he's always been modest about it. He's a very talented man and so what if he's acting rockstar? His acting is pretty damn good, you know.

Depp is a talented actor but still a below average guitar player and he SHOULD be modest but in this case he isn’t. Look at him posing and pretending to solo front and centre during this tribute with all of these guitar playing legends standing behind him at the back. Is he a genuine fan? Where is the modesty, humility and deference to all of these great guitarists? As Jeff Beck’s friend he should have been there but not centre stage. Why do you think they turned his volume down? It’s so that he can’t be heard because he can barely play and they don’t want him to embarrass himself. You can’t hear a single note that he’s playing. He’s acting at being a musician here but he needs practise I’m afraid. This just spotlights his musical shortcomings. Definitely not his finest hour.

Having seen the guitarists on the bill, there's only a few that are so distinctive that they can only be themselves - like Beck undoubtedly was. Billy Gibbons and Derek Trucks are the obvious picks
