HotSyncing my Palm Pilot Professional to a Linux thin client in 2025 with j-pilot

Hey all! I pulled my upgraded 2MB/IR Palm Pilot Professional out of storage today and loaded it up with some fresh batteries. I was surprised to see how rusty I'd gotten with Graffiti, but that also could have been due to worse handwriting recognition compared to the newer T|X and Z22. In this video I demonstrate a quick HotSync session between the Pilot Professional and j-pilot running on my Ubuntu 24.04 LTS-powered HP t510 thin client. This thin client oddly enough still has a serial port so I could use the cradle by itself without a USB serial adapter. Tomorrow I plan to do a similar demo with the Casio Pocket Viewer and pvlink.
