Nice intro. Thanks Rohan. Any chance you could look at UV'ing continuous emission liquids in this series? Having issues getting it to work right when surfacing. Please keep up the thumnails xD

Can you do a tutorial on how to export a fluid sim with white water from Houdini to Blender?

Amazing. Are you using this new systen or keep using old dop?
@rohandalvi Жыл бұрын
I’m still using the DOP system . It’s faster.

How did you change the size of the spheres?
@rohandalvi2 жыл бұрын
It’s representing pscale. It will automatically become smaller as you lower the particle separation. But if you want it lower still you can apply a float node and modify the pscale value after the sim but it could make changes to the fluid surface node , so be careful how you use it. If you just want to render the particles or tweak it for viewport then it’s fine,
@nathangordon39422 жыл бұрын
oh, my viewport just wasnt updating for some reason. Now it is.
@rohandalvi2 жыл бұрын
@@nathangordon3942 the Houdini viewport does that sometimes. If you have the lab tools installed, go the lab tools menu and there's a reset viewport button. It should help.

@@rohandalvi Another question. Would I want to paste the particle sepration from the flip solver as relative reference into the flip container? I have been advised to do this when it comes to pyro (though I forget the reasoning).
@rohandalvi2 жыл бұрын
@@nathangordon3942 you don't need to. In Pyro you need to control 3 things with the same parameter, the smoke resolution, the voxel size in the volume rasterise and the particle separation. In the flip node, both the particle separation values are doing the same thing, so you can just control it from the flip container node.

Rohan looks like top chef in a five star hotel 💥...also my houdini 19.5 is python 3.9 and yours is 3.7 why..?

Rohan looks nothing like that. It's a stock photo😂 and maybe sidefx might have upgraded the python version. I'll look for a newer build.

Worst sop node ever! I'm scary on how would be a crowd sop...
@rohandalvi Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the flip setup is easily their worst implementation at sop level. I still use the dop level stuff because it's simpler and faster.
