Just use lures and light gear for bass it's more exciting than winding them in on a beachcaster Just returned from a session on Anglesey catching bass at few rod lengths out Noticed a few bass moving in the final breaker hitting beach and pulling back creating a ridge in the sand as tide turned in a few inch's of water Should be back a week Saturday 🤞

We were targeting both hounds and bass. Crab being the choice of food for both. I do want to hit the bass on lures though, just not happened for me yet🦈

@@angleseytightlines2918 I know you are local and will have the knowledge and contacts for the best areas. Travel light and put in the time nothing more exciting them seeing them chase down a lure on the surface. 2 and half hour trip to your area for me and about the same for the Llŷn Peninsula My local beach is Formby and will need a beachcaster for the bass and a fast retreat as tide comes in Keep the vids coming and Tight lines pal

Nothing on the lugworm????? Is it worth taking frozen mackerel to the mark.???
@angleseytightlines2918 Жыл бұрын
I personally wouldn't bother with mackerel bring on the dogs. Nothing on worm this time but it is very good bait for there 🐟🎣

Another great video. A beautiful evening with plenty of fish. I’m relatively new to sea fishing on the island. I caught four dogfish off of Cemlyn Bay on night last week. I was using quite large wrapped pennel rig baits, but two of the fish managed to swallow everything. A couple of questions please as really would appreciate your thoughts: 1. Is there anything I can do to avoid this. 2. What’s best for the fish, cut the line and release or humanly attend to the fish? Cheers
@angleseytightlines2918 Жыл бұрын
Try using a circle hook for your pennel hook. Like I did last night cut as close to the hook as possible. Hook will rust in no time Hope this helps #tightlines

Is that an Abu C3 CT Mag you’re using Ceirion? If so, it’s a great clean beach, after-dark reel. Foolproof!
