Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Universe and Unlocked | Med to Tan Mature skin |

Hi everyone! I decided to try the two new edits from Hourglass the Ambient Lighting in Universe and Inverse Unlocked. To see if it will work on my med - tan and mature skin. Well, the blushes are nice but I prefer the other new palette the Vol. III. Hope this video helps. Enjoy!

I think they both gave you a stunning glow, I ordered the darker universe palette and I think I'll use a very fluffy brush to get a light dusting/ glow. @@HebaS Please read my comment above. To me both pallets looked awful made your skin texture stand out not in a good way. I had the same issue with HG original ambient pallet that's why gifted to someone younger than me. Essence nude highlighter my new favorite who knew 5.00 highlighter would be so lovely plus talc free.

The lighter side gave you a soft pretty look versus the other side looked more glam. Both looks very nice on your complexion. Perhaps on a no makeup makeup day try one of the palettes out to see what it looks like against your skin. TFS both were beautiful

Thanks for the review! I think they would be nice for an evening out but look way to blingy for everyday use. Plus the bronzers and face powders didn't seem med-tan skin friendly, especially for that price-point. Always enjoy your reviews.

I agree 100% with your husband! Oddly enough although not as dark, I think the lighter palette is more flattering on your skin than the darker one, at least on camera, the lighter one is more blurring as well! You know, the palette you tried yesterday looked absolutely stunning on you and I was thinking that maybe the Diffused heat or Magenta something blush could great ones for your skin tone. I have them and I do need to go very light handed when using them, just like the reddish one that you have too! Either way you're beautiful !! ;) MJ xo

Lol lol lol. Your husband is like my husband! I do the same exact thing, asking him which side is better. And, same $80 for, or whatever, for this, lol. He laughs too. I also do that with foundation. I say these are samples. Hey I was in the makeup, and perfume industry for years! He is also my fashion consultant. Anyway, this was a great demonstration on these products. I think the Unlocked palette is a better fit for you. But, you have the small bronzer, same shade, and said it’s too light for you. . The blushes in the other one looked great on you too. Agree, the volumn 3 is gorgeous on you, and you can add other blushes. That’s what I would do. Not sure if I’ll be picking any of these up, maybe Volumn 3, since I’m a medium/ warm skintone. These would make lovely bronzers, and the highlighter in it would be great for shoulders, etc. We live in Florida, so shoulders, and low necklines are all year round here.

New suscriber here. Loved your review. I agree with your husband that the left side (left for us) was too shinny but the blushes look beautiful so i would use those blushes with the other highlight. Overall, both palettes are to shinny, imo. I was waiting for the launch but i think i will not buy it thanks to your review. I liked a lot the other palette so i think this is my next buy:)

Hourglass Ambient original pallet left me thinking why? I ever purchased. Looking at both new pallets easy pass way to glittery for my taste. However, I love HG mood exposure blush. Essence nude highlighter never imagined 5.00 no talc or fragrance powder would win over high-end. 🥰✨

A fellow lefty here. I love most hourglass products, but I skip their holiday palettes. The pans are so small and to close together, my brush always hits the pan next to the one I want. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
