I was planning on getting the lighter palette but seeing how the infinity powder looks on the skin, now I'm sure. Sharing a trick I learned for making a too dark blush work for my fair skin : Dip in your setting powder lightly, then dip in the blush.

I really want to get that second pallet just for the blushes. But I’m gonna hold off in hopes that they release those blushes as singles. I would rather have the blushes as singles. I would be able to use four out of the five products in there so for me it would be worth the price point but I really just want the blushes LOL. I use these in a slightly different order, and I get a great blend. I don’t use the finishing powder until after I’ve applied the bronzer and blush; I then buff the finishing powder all over my entire face. If I’m using a highlighter, depending on how metallic it is, I may add it before I buff or may add it afterwards. I don’t use the finishing powder to set my face; if my foundation hasn’t dried down -or if you’re someone who always sets foundation regardless of dry down - I would recommend using a true setting powder for that step and not these. Lastly, for the blushes that are more pigmented, try grabbing the finishing powder and blush on your brush together and buffing them onto your cheek; it will keep the integrity of the blush shade but it’s more diffused on the skin.

So glad you got both of these! I'm an NC25 and I actually like the deeper palette more. I thought it looked stunning on you!! I really do wish though that they would come out with all new shades. Don't they realize they would sell more that way? We all have the existing shades 1,000 times over!

The 👻 palette is my fav. With that said; I’ll purchase the Universe palette this year. I can’t resist. 😂 I hear you on the value of the 6 pan palette; however, I have a feeling I’ll prefer this style. I normally skip the powder in the palettes because of the size. I can’t stick my Sonia G brush in there without picking up the adjacent powders.

I was considering the lighter palette but not so sure, I wish the larger pan were a better cover up, with no shine, I wanted to use it as a finishing powder, but it comes off as more of a highlight. Thank you for this review. Gorgeous as always.

Oh, I actually like the packaging! I am tempted to buy the ligt one, but probably will keep myself back. I ´ve got their Dim Light powder, hardly used over the years, because I found it quite heavy for my oily skin, it gets me look oily sooner, which I don´t like. Thanks for the video!

As beautiful as Hourglass's blushes, powders, and highlighters formulas are I don't know why they don't release a variety of colors! Then people could choose they're colors. That would have been better received than the variety of small expensive eye shadows they just released that no one can afford.

Maybe because they made the bronzer trio for deep skin tones, they didn’t go deeper in the face palettes, which is kinda a cash grab because most deeper skin tones will probably buy the trio and the Unlocked face palette. I am med/tan and am even tempted to buy all 3 cause I think I can make them all work. I love the bronzer in the Unlocked palette. I own a single but it is my fall/winter shade so doubt it will work on deep skin tones.

I wish they would’ve picked a blush that was more orange/peachy in the darker palette rather than having 2 pink blushes. I’m skipping this year’s because I have 3 already and I’m still working through those ones. Not crazy about the packaging or the fact that they included that particular large powder in the light version. It’ll save me $110 CND. Good to see Hourglass making an effort with the 2 color stories this year (finally!)

I was scanning down the comments and you were the only one who mentioned about having a more coral/peachy tone blush in the darker palette. I so agree with you, why two pink blushes? So pointless the darker blush plus a rich deep coral shade would have been so much better along with a deeper bronzer. Coral blushes look fabulous on darker skin tones.💜

The unlocked (deeper) palette works for me now. Oddly enough, I can make the lighter palette (universe) work, too. I am medium in shade with a warm olive undertone right now. Next month I will be a light medium in shade. By the dead of winter, I will be light in shade. I probably will get the Universe palette. The unlocked one would only be for summertime. I still have my Unlocked quad.

I didn't purchase the Universe palette bc of that Infinity powder. I don't like the individual Infinity powder that I bought when it launched. I was initially excited about it because I already use Diffused light and Dim light together but Hourglass messed up by adding a strobing powder to the mix. It's perfect if I like to look sweaty though. 😕

Hi Morgan, I'm MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation in NW35 most of the year, around NW30 for our several short months of "winter" that we get in the Phoenix AZ area each year. Not sure, but I'm seriously leaning towards Universe Unlocked, but love that rosy bronzer from the lighter one. Whaddya think?

Even though I'm light medium, I want the darker palette. I feel like if you have even 1 Hourglass face palette, you've pretty much got them all. I have the quad from last year and it's just a little too light, I want more punch. I love marble so love the packaging. I use their bronzer in Luminous Bronze light and I've been wanting one of their darker bronzers for when I'm tan so I'm glad Radiant bronze light is in the deeper one. And I live Radiant light from their finishing powder trio, it gives such a beautiful subtle warm Glow really good to sweep over matte bronzers.
