My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed having a community reflective of a house church. We have been on that journey since the beginning of 2023. It's our space of healing, shalom, oikos, and emotional safety. Thank you for this interview and how it defines unity and togetherness....because that has been one of our largest obstacles with the transition.

I love the format of the house church you spoke of and would love to be a part of one. That connection and joy is what I have been looking for. Church was supposed to be far far more than a sermon and singing we have lost that over time as churches became companies rather than communities that follow God together. I believe there are ways to have the advantages of both.

I so appreciate John’s humility in owning that he was part of the dysfunction. And I so appreciate Kyle’s respect for the reality of being a trauma survivor. I am both & I thank God for using these past two conversations to continue healing me. Our God is so full of Loving Grace!

Wow, thank you for breaking down how you worship. That was one of my questions. I agree that it’s great for healing.

Hi Kyle. Love this “checking in”. I’ve been practicing this (interactive journaling, thought rhyming,…) with a group for several years. It’s an amazing practice. I’m wondering who is this brother you’re speaking with? The video started some time after the introductions. Thanks in advance 🤗
