You did a beautiful capture & it's so nice of you of capturing all without disturbing them which is what i read very important for their wild life survival learning if they move out along /call by their parents out from nest without any human intervention.

We have a nest next to our front door porch light, very close to our kitchen window. What a delight watching the babies grow up. Should be fledging any day now!

These are the birds you often see in the city especially sitting outside of a restaurant, in bushes, In the backyard etc... nevertheless it’s cool to see how they’re raised. They’re everywhere and I think nest in bushes so if you hear random leafs 🍁 moving or movement in general when sitting outside it’s probably these guys 😂 11:40 I’ve known those friends, they can’t leave the family basement for whatever reason in their late 20s early 30s dad comes with a bat and the kid is out. Failure to launch 😂

lovely, thank you for putting this video together. Last year, a family of Robins built a nest on my porch and they had two clutches. I left the nest alone in the hope they would come back this year, but, instead, a family of house finches took residence and the 5 eggs they've laid have just hatched. Based on your timeline, they should be fledging between May 15th and 18th. I'm looking forward to see them fly.

Well, it's Match 30th, 2021 here in Gastonia, NC, and we have two finches starting to build a nest in one of our hanging plants on the porch. Unfortunately, it's a flowering plant that I really want to keep alive because: A. I like it, and B. Our porch will look a bit weird with a dead hanging plant on this side of our front steps while a living hanging plant is on the other side. But I know we also have predators in the woods across the street such as owls, 'outside' cats, possums, and larger birds that would eat the eggs, etc., so it's not as though a bush or tree would automatically be a better spot. SOOOOOOO my hubby and I decided to let the finches continue to build here while I try to come up with an idea of how to quietly water my plant without disturbing (and flooding!) the nest, the eggs, and the babies when they finally arrive! Otherwise, the plant has to die, the birds will get a home for as long as they need it, and I'll just have to get a few artificial flowers to put in the pot before any eggs arrive...and, of course, we'll need another plant next year. :) :)

I love this video sooo much) The way it's narrated really gets me. I currently raise a white-breasted paddy finch baby and a lovebird baby and KZbin brought me here. So grateful)

These little guys have a nest on our front door wreath... They are so very cute. 5 eggs. I worry so much for when they hatch. This is our only entry and exit, and there was really no place to move the nest nearby that was off the ground, and a cat has already tried once to get the eggs.

I have pet house finches from a nest we saved, we have lots of birds on our property and they just happened to be in need of rescue (nest fell) I thought they were house sparrows at first and then later found out with adult feathers they were not, oops. Well they are here with me now
