These turacos look like the feistiest, energetic, most ravenous birds you've raised by far! Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but they look like such an adorable handful to manage. Each feeding time looked like two dogs meeting someone new.
@SarsangeАй бұрын
They are one of my fave species! They are one of the best dinosaur-like birds that are still keeping wing fingers alongisde with Hoatzin birds! and when they are young like this you can see a very raptor-like face and structure!
@EbonRavenАй бұрын
Turacos are a ton of fun. I used to work with raptors at a few different zoos and would often interact with the turacos in the giant aviary. They are so funny and so active all the time! Ours also adored water and would tease and play pranks. They behaved similarly to the corvids that I was (and am) more familiar with. They could recognize people with ease, they had people they liked, people and things they didn't like, and they would make absolutely sure that you knew what they didn't like! 🤣
@corvinredacted29 күн бұрын
I wasn't particularly familiar with turacos, but my first thought watching their behavior in this video was how surprisingly intelligent and corvid-like they seemed. For some reason I was expecting more of a peafowl disposition, lol I'm kind of surprised they aren't more closely related to hoatzins with those little wing claws and they way they were using their wings to climb him once they got a little older. Very cool birds, even if my name demands I hold sub-family Corvinae above all others 😂
