He is giving up the one this that was most important to him for something that's even more important in life: friendship. Giving back and not let his friend die alone. I've been battling PTSD for years now and one of the things it does is take away one's ability to see light. Perpetual loneliness. To not be alone when you are facing the end is one of the greatest kindnesses one can receive. My mom died around the time this show ran after battling leukemia for over three years. She hid her condition from me. She had also lost her husband just a few years before that. Her marriage was filled with pain and suffering. My mom really liked the show a lot. I now understand why I think.

If you think about it, Hugh Laurie - once best known as half of a UK comedy duo - is an amazing actor. He faked his accent, faked his limp and through all of that did what a consummate actor is supposed to do. Make me absolutely believe that they are that person on that screen and engage me to the point where I care what happens to them. I think this role uncovered one of the most articulate actors of our time.

I could argue. In the canon, he isn't technically dead, the ending is open. Assuming that he will actually die after 5 months, he will on October 21st, so he isn't today. Some of us imagine that House will find a way to cure him or that he recovers miraculously from his cancer. But as for me, friendship simply is someting you'll always have, despite of death.

Now I have all the Hilson feels! This is one of the best [H]ouseMD videos I've ever seen and it made me cry. I miss Dr. Gregory House and his show so much that it hurts. Hilson (House/Wilson) is my favorite couple on Television and they are each others love of their lives, even if they don't have a sexual relationship. Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard are terrific actors and I love how they portrayed House and Wilson. It's a shame that Hugh Laurie never won an Emmy Award for his role as Dr. Gregory House! He had to fake a limp, walk with a cane, memorize difficult medical technical terms and as a Brit has to speak in an American accent. Which actor has to do all this to play his role? [H]ouseMD still is my alltime favorite show and probably always will be. I hope that some day TPTB will make a [H]ouseMD movie!
