House of the Dead Arcade - 1CC - Machine Top Score 108,940 - Full Playthrough

Walked into All Amusement Fun Center today and the first thing I noticed was a beautiful looking monitor screen shining brightly inside the HotD1 machine. Apparently the owner spent the time to adjust the pots and the colors look amazing. I feel like this was a huge reason why I did so well today.
Score Breakdown:
Chapter 1: 21620 Took a random hit and missed a few headshots but not too bad overall.
Chapter 2: 54260 Trying to get used to shooting Hangedman while he's idling and controlling the bats.
Chapter 3: 87860 Didn't get good RNG for critical shots on Hermit but I played the stage well enough to make up for it.
Final: 108,940 I swear I've never taken so many hits on Magician but I'm glad I made it out alive. I guess the nerves got to me as I potentially could've gotten a 109,240 if I didn't take 3 hits.
Final thoughts: I probably could've reached 110k today if I had better RNG on Hermit and didn't take damage at the end. 9 more headshots on Hermit would've done it. I just need RNG to be in my favor and play a solid chapter 3 and we'll be home free.

Woah nice playthrough! That scoreboard reminds me of when i completely took over an House Of The Dead machine, but i was so pissed when i next went back to the game as they reset the scoreboard :/

Thanks! And yes, that's the worst feeling seeing your hard work all gone. This is mainly why I record my runs now which is something I couldn't do 20 yrs ago when I first started playing this game.

@@egregiousguy yeah i did get footage of the scoreboard when i took it over, i'll be getting back to the arcade cab soon if it's hopefully there still and i hope to try again, in the meanwhile i've been getting as much practice as i can at home with my Sinden guns :D the last time i was there last year i did get on the scoreboard a few times

@@egregiousguy hey :) update: we’ll I’ve done it, I have taken over the scoreboard on that HOTD cab, I really hope it doesn’t get erased again when I come back to it next year. It feels as though it’s done out of spite or jealously because you have to go into the games test mode to erase it :P

Nice! Aside from them resetting the scores, the next worse thing would be someone else taking over with higher scores. I felt bad when I did that a couple years back.

@@egregiousguy yeah hope that doesn’t happen. The cab I play is in a horror themed bar that is mainly used as an exit for a scare attraction, so unlike it being in arcade where it would be played a lot it probably doesn’t get as much attention, sadly it’s the only one left, in the arcades there used to be a good few.

How the score system works? Headshot give you more points? Getting hit take some points out? I know coins and golden frogs give you points.
