Man I hope someone manages to reverse engineer the original arcade version and make a full port to pc. The model 2 emulator fails to render most of the floor and wall textures. Heck even the blood splatter isn't rendered correctly.

WTF? How is it possible to get this score? Even when I slowed down the game 70% and killed practically every zombie, saved every scientist, and collected all but 1 gold coins... I got half the score you got!

After you've "inserted" a coin and have been redirected to the title screen (the one that says The House of the Dead with the camera panning towards the mansion) press ZZZXX on the keyboard before pressing "start". This works because the Z and X keys are alt binds for the 1P and 2P trigger.

It is an original but the Arcade owner converted the coin mechanism into a card reader. I, too, have never seen this done any place else.

If there was a way to extract high definition textures from the arcade version the game could be rebuilt from hod pc and hod2 flashback assets, perhaps extracting them from cache could work but it would be quite a lot of work

If you don't shoot Cyril at top left 3:06, he wont hurt the hostage. He throws the axes at you and then JUMPS down in a really funny way 😂

YES! THANK YOU! I decided long ago to follow every possible route based on the death screen map... That's how I discover that you can unblock the stairs at 3:27 by shooting them. But there was still one path missing... A single arrow in the middle of three paths by the end of the level, and I was unable to find that route. Turns out that Simon can knock you off the balcony by the billard room door (3:50). Mistery solved!

It's so weird how these days we can just emulate the original House of The Dead on our phones or run it on a computer with USB light guns and yet I still really wanna play this one purely because you seem to get to turn your own character around to kill zombies behind you. Doesn't look like you walk on your own but the fact that you at least control the camera like it's classic Doom but on rails is a really cool concept. I want this.

I was looking for a way to extract the stage models from the game files, and this is how I found your channel. Can you share your model files with me? I'd be forever grateful.
