HOUSE OF THE DEAD : How The Rich Bury Their Family In The Philippines
Today Lot and I drove and walked around a private upscale cemetery called Eternal Peace Memorial Park. I was amazed at the sizes and the beauty of the Mausoleums that we inside the Memorial Park. May all those buried in there...REST IN PEACE.

Sometimes you need to take a break so that you don't burn yourself out. I sure wouldn't want people to spend that much money to bury me. Put me in a casket, dig a hole, drop me in and cover me up. Then put a headstone there and no need to waste money on flowers either because they will die so use the money on better things. Give that money to help needy children or families by making good use of the money.

How old are you? If you worked until now and put .1% off all your wages into you funeral and say dig a hole and just a coffin you probably didn’t have much of a life and yes probably no one will care about your death because you never cared about anyone anyways and what you deserve is just what you have said sir

@@LAMAYSESSION How many people really know if others really care when they are not living? I don't think that you really read my message or understand what I was saying. What's the problem of wanting a simple funeral and not a expensive one? You can have a funeral the way that you want and I will have a funeral the way I want to have it. I wasn't meaning to just dig a hole in the backyard and put me in a home built wooden box then just be tossed into the hole. It's a shame that we have to explain in complete detail of everything in the funeral just so people can understand everything.

Wow bigger than the average houses. It is written that lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven and not on earth, ayayay even if they’re dead they still live luxurious lives/deads pala. 😯🤔 coz it is eaiser for a camel to enter the hole of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God they sure dont know where to put their money. If they could still talk probably they say “We worked hard on it! We worked like ants why we werent buried in an apartment type cemetery hano!” 😌

Yeah you should also check out the Chinese mausoleums in the Philippines.. they are usually part of a regular cemetery but they have their own area and the structures are huge.. and the families would also leave lavish food for their dead. Very odd but its a custom.

this is the reality between the rich and the poor, while poor family buried their dead love ones in the public cemetery,of what we called an apartment that is exact only to a one person in a coffin piled up to ten rows up but it lasted only for 5years if the family of the buried people can't renew or pay the cemetery amortization in another 5years the skull and the bones of that person will be taken out of that apartment grave and just put it in the sack but sometimes done by negligence of the undertaker, instead of keeping it in one place,it just scatter along the road and some people are getting fun of it, the skulls are found anywhere,so heartbreaking for the dead.

There's one close to Minhalin north of Apalit that has some huge actual house sized mosuleums and I've always wondered how in a country so poor, the opulence the well-to-do's will show off. When I'm gone, I just want to be thrown in the ground. Keep the money and take everyone out for jollibee and redhorse when I kick the bucket!

Hey guys, That’s pretty crazy to see in Philippines!!! They did a story on something similar in a border town just over the Texas border!!! I believe it was Juarez, Mexico . It looked like a new community with cars and 2story homes full furnished but they were for people who passed on!!! Kinda a spooky really!!! Take care guys and keep cool👍👍👍

It is normal here in Philippines, people who have enough money they can buy a land and build their own mausoleum for their families (1 mousoleum can have 2 or more corpse). Some families build grand tombs not just for the dead but also for their living relative who visits them, we celebrate all souls day from oct 31 to nov 2, we even stay overnight with them and all my relatives just to remember all the good days. we also bring pot lock food for the relatives who will visit during nov1.

This is how we pay respect and to say how much we cared for our departed loved ones. Ofcourse not everyone can afford it. Cemetery is a place where filipino family reunites anytime of the year. We have it covered so we could stay the whole day even if the weather is not good. Others stayed overnight. Nice video! Make a visit during nov 1 so you could see how these families prepare for that special occassion.

These family plots are for the affluent. The average family can only afford one of those above ground tombs. And it would appear that is isn't over when you pass. Fees for the tomb are charged and if your family can't afford the upkeep, the casket is removed and dumped elsewhere....

Village of the dead , that would be a good name for that place. A good name for a book too. Culture cultural values harken back to Egypt and the tombs of the rich and powerful. Who says you can't take it with you. The money and hours of work involved to create a "resting place for the dead and a gathering place for the living mingled together. Each says remember me remember me but within a few generations they are all forgotten as their descendants are caught up in the tasks of daily living. A family mausoleum made for generations of family would seem more appropriate to me. You come to visit those love by the generations before you and the stories passed from grandmother to grandmother pass down to you of those none still living had known. Leave a good mark on the living with love while your living and let them pass that on to their own children. Out true legacy lay in the love and friendship we build not in our bones.

Wow, just Wow! What a cemetery! It does look like an actual neighborhood. I have seen videos of cemetery's in the Philippines that are just rented, and they throw you out if the rent is not paid, or you can only rent for a few years, then the lease is up to make room for another. People actually live in those cemeteries. Needless to say, this shocks me, because I thought all of them were like I just described. Nice to know you can stay in your grave without your family having to pay everyone's rent, and the family actually owns it. What is in the second stories? Some were really pretty. Yes, this is like something I would never thought I would see, and it be an actual cemetery. This place might get famous someday and have tours and such. Thanks for sharing.
