lol. She is the "rightful" queen in my mind. Because the Iron Throne rejected Viserys which to me is a sign that Rhaenys was supposed to be Queen. The Great Council chose wrong. Rhaenys is now sadly dead, but her oldest child was Laena. And Laena's oldest child was Baela. I thought this "I am fire and blood" speech was a good way of showing that she is Rhaenys' heir.

So far, Baela Targaryen actually has more political connections than Jace Targaryen does. Don't get me wrong, Jace did the damn thing in this episode, but Baela's grandfather is the Lord of Driftmark, her grandma, his wife, was a Targaryen hier and dragonrider, her father is Daemon Targaryen, and we all know what that implicates, her stepmother is Queen Rhaenyra, and then she's betrothed to Prince Jace, and then she has her own dragon Moondancer. Even before that, in the last season, Alicent knew better not to demand Baela's eye be taken, even though she's the one who 2 peiced Aemon in the first place. Alicent never even looked in Baela's direction.

No matter how bad I also feel for aegon and sunfyr, Mind you NOT EVEN Maegor Targeryan the Cruel disrespected dragons like that. They are pride and strength of House Targeryan. Thats why all of the Team Green are nasty hightowers at the End of the day. Parading meleys head through kings landing damages the Targeryans reputation and risks angering the people. Dragons are crucial part of Targeryan power; disrespecting fallen dragons could lead to unrest in Kings Landing.

How does it really damage the targaryens? They see the dragons as gods. But its not too far stretched to belive that a god can kill another god. So if they think they stand a chance of taking down a dragon themselves. All the targs have to do is remind them that a man cannot bring down a god, only another god.

When I first saw the lemon and salt I thought they were going to use it to clean Aegons wounds. 😳 Team Green: The people in kings landing are starving… I know we should bring back a dragons head.. so we can show we defaced our own sigil. I like the Mysaria and Rhaenyra team up. I love seeing Baela and Jace stepping up too. I hope Corlys becomes Rhaenyra's hand. I loved seeing Alicent's loss of power. I'm very interested in seeing Daemon do something else, anything else, than wander around a haunted castle.

Alicent is seeing now some of the fruit she has sown, and while she is fearful of Aemond, it would would be madness to have the King's Mommy be Regent. The Lords of Westeros would not respect the (false) Crown's authority.

Aemond is now a double kinslayer & in this world that’s suppose to be a big deal & very dishonorable. Cole stupid ass should know the dragons are house Targaryen’s symbol of power! To parade a dead one through the streets decreased their power. I love how Alicent got put in her place on that council & saw what she upheld dismiss her. It’s also crazy that Rhaenyra’s council doesn’t even know what she should do! I was so proud of Jace & Baela this episode!! Baela had the best line!!

Another great reaction fellas. I seen some reviews for this episode calling it slow, but I thought it was solid. It was good to see more scheming and more game playing. Rhaenyra finally about to have a part to play when she’s kinda sat around. Let’s see some Vermithor and Silverwing soon, give the blacks some muscle.

7:30 agreed, he is young man and is frustrated. I remember when my Mom didn't want me to play football, fortunately my Dad overruled her. From his perspective, he is a Prince and the Crown Prince at that, a dragonrider, trained for war since childhood, not a literal Knight yet but I am sure he thinks of that as a formality, and his Mom wont let him go.

19:37 Tbf, Rheanyra promised to give the Eryie a dragon (that was obviously for protection) in exchange of 15,000 men. She instead gave them a baby dragon that cannot offer the protection they need for this war. Yet, Rheanyra still expects 15,000 men. So, both sides aren't holding up to their words.

They’re not making a new king. They’re putting up a Regent while Aegon is still alive. It won’t ever be Alicent’s time. Aemond is next in line. Alicent isn’t in the succession. She would only be regent of Aemond is underaged. You also can’t strip her sons of their rights no matter if they’re fit or not.that’s how it works.

Just know there are way more than the 2 dragons that Jace named. Daemond named a bunch last season and there's more unclaimed than that. There is one I can't wait to see but that will probably be the last season.

Doesnt matter if Aegon wakes up and wants to blame Aemond basically everyone has to sweep the situation under the rug because they cant do nothing to Aemond or bring him to justice because then the Greens will loose. And you cant let ppl know Aemond attacked the King and nothing was done about it either or you also look even weaker
