Wow...are people really complaining about how Rhaenyra pronounced 'Dracarys'? 🤣🤣🤣 Honestly, I think the High Valyrian in the episode sounded a lot more authentic...refined...because, agreeing with your sentiment, the Targaryens in this era are much more entrenched in their culture, whereas Dany was further removed, isolated from her culture and heritage, so her inflections when speaking High Valyrian were probably different from that of her ancestors. Also, Rhaenyra was grieving her mother when she said 'Dracarys', you could hear the hesitation in her voice....the breaking of her voice, so that also probably impacted the pronunciation as well.

Otto keeps saying how Daemon wants the throne, but Otto is the one sending his child in her dead mothers clothes to the kings room. Also, notice how the camera cuts away from Daemon saying Heir for a day. This is something that is coming from Otto. Watch Otto closely.

I already love Daemon’s chaotic ass character. Rhaenys and Corlys are my FAVESSSSS like I adore them and can’t wait to see more. Sir Otto is DISGUSTING for trying to send Alicent to seduce the king, reinforcing the point Daemon is right about him. I just can’t wait for the shit to develop. There was so much shade and insanity. The queens death I dead could NOT watch I had to skip a lil and volume was DOWN. I know to expect violence but that disturbed me MUCH more than Daemon giving police brutality in kings landing

He was NOT cutting up. He was fully clothed Not drunk. Not having sex. Sitting sadly at a table. I think it's funny that everyone talks shït on Daemon... But THE KING MURDERED HIS QUEEN And Otto PIMPED HIS DAUGHTER OUT ON A GRIEVING KING. get out of here with that mess. Daemon isn't the villan of this story. He's chaotic yes. But he's not cold and heartless to his family. He loved Amma and the baby. He honestly seriously DOESN'T WANT TO BE KING.

OK- a little backstory. Daemon is so brutal when he deploys the city watch to do their thang. Because, in the books there are like 2 serial killers on the loose. Women getting kidnapped and sold into the pleasure houses. Pirates in the Step Stones... crime everywhere. And on Daemons watch, in the books, crime goes way down. They call him Lord Flea Bottom, because the hood is really where he hangs out. So he really knows the streets and whats going on and whos doing what. I love Daemon. His is the Ruler they might not want, but actually need. BC King Viserys is weak.

The chuckle actually was not because he wants the throne. If Daemon wanted to be king he would be. He has a dragon and Viserys doesn't, as well as being young and a fighter. Daemon is chaotic and doesn't like being told what to do. He just hates Otto and doesn't like how he is in his brothers ear like that.

Targaryens are resistant to fire. This was shown in season 1 of Game of Thrones when Danaerys walked into the cremation hut for Drogo. It was on fire and she survived and her Dragons hatched.

Viserys had an awful choice to make. His wife was going to die regardless (at least that's what the maesters told him 👀) but to die in such a brutal fashion in an attempt to save the baby's life. I don't know what the man could have done to break that kind of news to her like "Hey sweetie, you about to die but are you good with us cutting your stomach open and snatching this baby out right quick?" I actually think he was trying his best to soothe her, but it was heartbreaking to see her not have any autonomy in her final moments......but he was right, that baby was indeed a boy. I will give the man some credit for being progressive in his own way during that era. He made Rhaenyra his cup bearer, I don't think that was common for girls, therefore she was regularly by his side and was privy to all political matters (ie, Council Meetings) and as a result of losing his wife, due to the pressure of producing a male heir, he made his daughter an heir, breaking custom and maybe making it easier for the women in his bloodline to not be solely defined as baby making machines, at least that's my take.

Aemma was going to die regardless, a choice was presented to Viserys to attempt to save the baby's life.....therefore he made a decision. Plus this is a fictional show, so let's get too emotional about this (I say this as a Black woman). Now if you want to have a conversation on REAL matters like what happened to the bodies of Black women during slavery, then let's discuss.

I understand, not wanting a civil war, and wanted a son to have that peaceful transition. But the new father in me, fuck that decision! I wouldn't know how to function attal! I'll say this, if Viserys should have told her what's happening, and while talking with her, say our baby is in trouble, but you've lost too much blood.
