That’s why even though they made it look like they lost control of their dragons, Aemon‘s dragon was picking up on the fact that Aemon was clearly stalking and had so much animosity toward Lucerys , that his dragon responded in kind. So he is 100% responsible.

The dragon Deamon goes to see is Vermithor, he is the second largest and oldest dragon and his rider was King Jaeherys I Targaryen, who was King Viserys grandfather. The way I interpreted the birthing scene was that the dragons have an magical and emotional connection to the Targaryens. So Rhaenrys dragon is literally feeling the pain and emotions she's going through. They also showed examples of this with Daemon, he never commands his dragon with words it's all emotion. When he pulled the knife out on Outto, Rhaenrys dragon reacted based on Daemons emotions. Same for Luke feeling fear so Arrax ignores his commands to stay calm and tries to blind Vhagar with fire in order to get away. Aemond is emotting emotions based off hate so Vhagar goes for the kill. What a powerful and emotional finale, i can't wait until next season!!

I have to be honest I was surprised that Luc and rheneyra’s team did not consider having something prepared for the Baratheons especially since Otto and the hightowers were already saying they were making proposals to the other houses. They kind of assumed that he would automatically back them without having something for him in return especially if he was sticking his neck out in a war. Amond is a second son who looks like he will get nothing, while at least luc is heir to one of the wealthiest houses and could negotiate a marriage pack or offer him a high position and his daughters. A missed opportunity but quite tragic.

Aemond did say I loss an eye but got a dragon.. he should've been over it but I think he wanted to kill him and Vhagar knew that so he did what Aemond really wanted to do. Haven't read the books but I'm sure he wanted to kill him. As for Emmys I think Rhaenyss actress should win.

It's probably more simple, a younger smaller dragon challenges her with fire and the old titan don't give a fuck and kills the challenger. She doesn't give a shit what Aemond wants when it gets personal.

Vhagar is the oldest biggest dragon . It was Visheny’s who was one of the sister wives of Aegon the conqueror. It has been thru wars and many battles. Vermithor was Jeheary’s the good kings dragon and is the second biggest dragon . The third biggest was his wife’s the good queen Alyisienne’s Silverwing . Those two have been riderless since they died so near 30 years for Vermonthor and near 40 for Silverwing

There was a line (i don't remember the exact words were} when they discussed the dragon numbers, it was mentioned the dragons were never used in combat. So at the end, Lucerys (or his uncle) had no top gun moves

That’s exactly what I said, lol. All the hightowers were in one spot. She burns them all and there is no one left to gather an army. And it’s funny that she has all this honor but she just massacred hundreds of innocent civilians who were pushed into that arena.

It was partly showing the connection with her dragon and also partly to do with the fact the child is a bit of a lizard baby (in the book, not particularly clear in the show even though it was graphic as hell, the baby is a bit messed up), like Rhaego was in S1 of GoT.

The Queen that never was (I don’t remember her name) not killing the Hightowers still doesn’t make sense to me. She killed hundreds of people in the crowd. She also says “it wasn’t her war to start”. Excuse me? You would have ended the war by chopping out the head, muscle and heart of the competition. She basically ensured a protracted war that will lead to thousands more deaths.

Killing unarmed people was seen as cowardly in old times by warriors tbh. War is different bc both parties enter with the intent to kill each other and they are ready
