Apparently the blood of the workers was mixed with the mortar to build the castle. That’s one and then they cut down a bunch of sacred Weirwood trees to build the castle on which pissed off the old gods cause if you look at certain points as Damon is walking through Harrenhal. You can actually see Weirwood trees retaking the castle. And we do find out. I can’t remember if it’s this episode or the next episode because I’m watching you backwards that he is actually sleeping in a bed made of Weirwood tree, which sometimes gives you visions.
