Well, Rhaenys and Meleys didn't mean to escape before they got killed by Vhagar. They fighted until the end because being so brave. :-) In my opinion, Rhaenys knew she can't win that fight alone and wanted to injure Vhagar as much as possible and ahow others the courage they should have in the future battles.

OK I just found your channel but let’s just save this. Rhaenyra cannot send down a ground army because she doesn’t have one she lives on an island. She has just enough to protect the island that is what Daemon is supposed to be gathering for her is an army and instead he’s having mushroom trips and has a managed to get one put together so if you want to blame somebody blame him and not her.
