He never paid attention because he thought Rhaenyra was going to be Queen. He just wanted to live his life. He even supported her claim. Deep down he knew he wasn't supposed to be sitting on the throne. Then he was forced to be King literally. He wanted to run away. Now he feels like he has to prove himself. He's not a good person but he's just getting dumped on and has to perform a job he didn't even want. The only time he genuinely smiled was when he saw Sunfyre and his son Jahaerys.

rhaeneys attacked in the hopes of injuring vagar in hopes another black dragon can finish her off. (Meleys is one of the oldest and strongest dragons) or kill her or maybe kill aemond so vhagar would be riderless and out of the picture, she is more experienced at the end of the day Meleys was too injured to have made it very far & Rhaenys would have never abandoned Meleys even for the sake of her own safety. That last look they gave before turning back to fight Vhaegar again was a mutual acknowledgement they were going down together. Makes that whole moment that much more heartbreaking

Alicent didn't bother raising her kids. Aemond at least saw Criston like a father figure which allowed Criston to train him and he himself decided to work and learn everything he needed to, to become king. Heleana is not hurting anyone. Aegon was an alcoholic since childhood and was raping, no one really punished him, they just let him do whatever. Once he became king, I think he wanted to be better, but that was impossible in that short amount of time and because of his bad habits. They're blaming him, but they never held him accountable. If they trained him and brought him to council meetings Rhaenyra would have proof that they're planning to betray her.

Daemon was right. Him and Rhaenys should have tagged team Aemond and Vhagar with their dragons, because once Vhagar is out of the equation the war would be over. So much is said about Team Green having the largest dragon but Team Black has more experienced riders which I think matters just as much if not a bit more. The way that Rhaenys maneuvered her dragon more tactically focusing on "attacking" the other dragons as opposed to dragon fire, shows the difference and she actually took down ole girl Vhagar for a moment. With another experienced rider such as Daemon, they really could have taken out Vhagar. And imagine if another rider could have been secured for Vermithor who is still chilling in the pit at Dragonstone! Smdh

He really knows what it means to be a Targ, a god above men, and he knows how to play the game. Evil af but imagine him on the throne, and I love how he’s shamlessly trying to usurp the throne.
