The book was stated by the author to be Maester propaganda which was slated in favor of the greens. The show is supposed to be closer to what actually happened. However I've heard GRRM also say the that show is what happened from yet another pov. It's really up to the viewer/reader I guess to discern the truth.

I know Rhaenys didn't want to overstep and cause unnecessary damage, but man. She seriously should have at least taken Daemon's invitation to take down Vhagar into consideration. Even if it's after some time when Rhaenyra is back and level headed. They are at war, and the only serious fighting chance the Greens had was Vhagar. The Blacks have alot more dragons, but Aemond has Vhagar. Vhagar alone could possibly conquer the Seven Kingdoms, Dorne being the exception, if they had ground forces to back up Vhagar's aerial support. Daemon+Caraxes and Rhaenys+Meleys could *definitely* kill Vhagar. Man

This episode is going to be a defining moment on whether or not they actually stick to the source material. The battle with Rhaenys, Aemond, and Aegon could always play out differently than in the books, and if the outcome is different than the ending will be different, and the show will definitely have everyone HOOKED.

My guess is the first 20mins is the greens taking rosby stokeworth and darklyn. Executes lord darklyn then adds them to their armies. Then the last 40mins is aegon2 deciding to not let cole and aemond get all the glory and jumps on sunfyre and battle of rooks rest happens. Episode ends

It is even worse if they do it the way in the book. With Rhaenyra not going herself, or allowing Jace to go. Just sending Rhaenys alone. And WHY didn't Meleys run? She was the fastest dragon alive. she could have gone to Harrenhal to Caraxes to make it two on two. Instead it was Meleys against Vhagar, Sunfyre and the bolts and arrows of the Green army. Really unfair fight.

1 vhagar is 236 feet and meleys is 150plus feet ( even she has smaller tail compare to vhagar and even sunfyre) she's the fastest dragon also her Strength can be compared to caraxes 2 don't use real life logic and become sigma rhaenys is much more experienced then aemond ever was . Also visenya was equal to aegon the conquerer in combat so don't use men and women real logic here it's a fictional world

Caraxes is male and yeah in this case males dominate like vermithor is larger than silverwing and they both are same age 2. Caraxes due magic fluctuations is flying firewyrm ☠️ and he's flames are no match , Endurance like none other dragon( proved in god's eye battle) and due to this in he's size class ( 100 to 120) feet no one can challenge him in Strength even after that noodle like build Also i want rhaenys to meet her end because of ep9 she killed innocents and become saint in season 2 ( yeah in books she just flew away but show runner want something cool they can use sunfyre entrance scene like in books but there brains are not that developed
