This weeks episode really highlights the lack of fun, interesting characters in the show. There's been so little character development, especially among the supporting cast that the small council meetings are pretty boring to watch. GoT could have episodes which were all about characters talking, plotting their next moves, or reacting to the events of the previous week's episode because the characters were all well developed and fun to watch. But we barely know anything about a lot of these characters and they don't have the charisma or personalities to make their interactions fun or interesting to watch. HOTD is great when big plot progressing events are unfolding, but it doesn't have the array of well developed, interesting characters to make quieter episodes, which are focussed on talking and character interactions, as fun to watch as similar style episodes of GoT.

I totaly agree. I have not read the books. However i know that Daeron Targaryan was aparently the most popular of all his siblings. I hope they make him kinda like a Tyrion 2.0. And make him Stand op to Aemond. Like Tyrion did with Cersei in season 2. In that way we will have a fan favorite on the green side, and as you said, a fun and charasmatic charecter well developed.

Houses Darry and Piper among those lords that hour of the wolf in Harrenhal may be abrasive against Daemon's roguish ambitions. This will possibly prompt him to eventually declare his final decisions and march off against incoming yet unaware Green declared Westerlands forces under Jason Lannister and his lords.

Great review as always! While many people have been describing this episode as a filler, I think a lot of crucial decisions were made, and overall I was still very much enthralled in the drama. I completely agree though, the whole Daemon airbnb acid trip plotline has completely lost me. Idk what they're trying to achieve

This episode definitely didn't reach the highs of some of the others (especially not the last one) but I thought it was pretty cool with the stuff it portrayed or foreshadowed. - Hearing Tumbleton mentioned was nice and has me curious to what that will look like - I did think it was a bit strange that Baela was the one who brought the news of Corlys being hand of the king instead of Jacaerys however I will say it probably means more coming from someone closer within hsi family (if you catch my meaning). - I really love when Aemond said "...cut down those f*cking ratcatchers." Like I can imagine the entire Green Council saying in their head "Finally!" - It is tragic seeing Aegon like this. He was forced to wear a crown he didn't even want, his advisors mock him behind his back and sometimes in meetings and when he tried to show initiative, he ends up cripped and close to death. He's not my favorite character in the show, but his story is still very interesting. - I love the little lesson Rhaenyra learns during her experiences with her council and with Mysaria. People are insisting Rhaenyra is a weak ruler for not pushing for greater military action but we all know that armies alone can only do so much in war and that in war, one of the greatest weapons is information. Mysaria of course understands this and so her plan to infiltrate the capital to fan flames of discontent is brilliant.

I am thinking that Otto is out there somewhere in the riverlands calling on the great houses to do something.. The freys asked for one dragon then settled on claiming harrenhal for some strange reason, the vale was hoping to get a big strong dragon. It’s a good thjng the freys seemed content with having harrenhal, such an odd little choice to mention when jace addressed their concern that they needed to have a dragon, like do you think the twins / or the vale holds any sign of mysticism in its history?

I don't think Sunfyre is dead. The blacks think he's dead, but Criston said Sunfyre is long in the dying, so still alive and eating the bodies from the battle.

Since aegon, viserys, and Joffrey are all in the Eyrie with their dragons, it looks like they’re cutting the battle of the gullet. Shame
