The Seasmoke scenes were the best. The storyline development was executed well. The fact that he chose Addam is an indication that there may not be an exact science regarding the way they bond with riders. I am interested in this development.

Addam is half brother of Seasmokes previous rider so familial familiarity. 😂

I am interested in figuring out what the implication is about the Dragon/Rider bond. It was pretty much universally understood in universe & out that Dragons couldnt bond with a new rider if the previous rider was still living. Now there was never specifics about time or distance breaking the bond so the Seasmoke scenes I am interested in hearing the showrunners thoughts & explanations for. My biggest question surrounds Laenor in the show kept him alive so Seasmoke bonding was going to be potentially problematic in terms of a new rider. We know he is alive ( or was the last we knew) but in world only Rhaenera & Daemon knew he was. Which raises two questions did Rhaenera learn Laenor died somehow and that is why the dragon she tried to find a new rider for was Seasmoke? Or did she find something that lead her to believe Seasmoke could be bonded with because enough time passed? Otherwise Rhaenera basically chose the one dragon that couldn't be bonded with at least by traditional means and sacrificed her Commander of the Queensguard needlessly. I am assuming that because Laenor and Adam have similar bloodlines that will be the explanation for the modified lore. At this point keeping Laenor alive seems to be a decision that had nothing to do with a storyline and might have been a decision for other reasons which I understand.

The kiss makes sense and is organic within the context of the scene, and is consistent with book description of Rhaenyra.

Yep. There's a reference in the book to her being especially fond of a certain female. Also, I read that the actresses who played the teen versions of Alicent & Rhaenyra brought the energy that their connection was deeper than just friendship.

I feel this episode was a big turning point for Daemon, I think he’s reflecting and showing clear signs of regret. I think this will see him change a lot and accept his place as consort. I think so many of the characters are motivated by something they believe they are “owed” and they rarely get the chance to analyse that and reflect like Daemon has in Haronhall therapy…whereas Aemond with no restraints and no one to pull him back in is going full Tyrant like Daemon was warned by the River Lords.

Idk. It is understandable for Aemond to not make Larys the Hand. But, to humiliate him the way he did, is also a mistake. Larys can't do anything personally, but he is dangerous based on the knowledge and connections he has. Let's not forget that he re-staffed the castle in order to spy on Alicent , and had his own father and brother killed. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It was nice that in the days before her death Rhaenys subtly gave her blessing for Corlys' illegitimate sons to be "brought into the fold." Had Corlys done this earlier, maybe Ser Darklyn would have been spared from his fiery demise. All the secrets will be out next week!!😅 Please review the new show, "Those About To Die." Ramsay Bolton got his much needed therapy and is amazing as Tenax!!😃

I was surprised by the Rhaenyra & Mysaria kiss, but it developed from their embrace and had genuine emotion. I hope it's not a one-off moment, but we'll see!

I have no sympathy for Alicent because she had the opportunity to stop all of this when she got clarification from Rhaenyra that Viserys was talking about a damn story and not that twit of a first son she had with him but chose to be in denial and continue on with the lie. Now, how she helped keep her (a woman) from her rightful place as ruler, she is now being treated the same by her own son and has not a lick of power.

I'm not on board with cheating, either, but Daemon already left Rhaenyra, and he killed his ex-wife and choked his current one, so, I'm not too mad that in this world, Rhae might turn to Mysaria. They make a great power couple, romantic or not.

- On its own this episode really wasn't that great, but its role in the overall story was interesting. - I don't think Rhaenyra & Mysaria will continue anything physical. - I'm highly suspicious of Alys. Is she Team Green? Perhaps. - All of the dragon scenes were awesome. Love me some dragons. - Sorry, but I enjoyed seeing Alicent being put in her place.

I've been thinking that Team Green is working with Team Green for a while too. She's been part of that castle for a while, and that's Larys family castle and she's like a half sibling of his so it would make sense that she could be working with him to keep Daemon distracted. - Jess

I like both of you very much so I tune into you and subscribe. For that reason I started watching you around the time of true detective season 4. You guys definitely made it a lot better 🙂 I never like game of thrones. I didn't even finish watching it. That's how bored I was but the dragon show is just terrible. I've never been so bored in my life. I literally record the show and fast forward. That's what I do so it's about a 7-minute adventure for me. But I do enjoy listening to you guys. Talk about the show. Joe, maybe I'll listen to you first and then watch it. Maybe that 'll prop up my adrenaline 🙂

Aemond is awful. He locked the small folk in. I don't think Alicent is undermining him she's trying to stop him from destroying himself he tried to kill his brother. They've shown two incidents of Aemond being bullied at this point its a cheap excuse for his cruelty. Is that the fault of the showrunners possibly cause it just doesn't line up. I don't think anyone needs to help Aegon get his power back from Aemond he will destroy himself.

Alicent is getting exactly what she deserves. Did she really believe the same men who denied Rhaenyra the throne were going to respect her? She acts so shocked and really believes she’s entitled to her seat with the council. She thought her moral superiority made her more deserving, but she’s lying to herself. She spent so much time shaming Rhaeynra but her actions were no better if not worse (foot favors). She destroyed another woman (her friend) because she thought she was morally superior and now she’s being tossed aside and discarded. None of her children are happy or well adjusted, none of them really trust her or confide in her. I think Alicent is becoming very aware of the hole she’s dug herself. I think Aemond is doing good considering his lack of experience, he’s making decisions that need to be made. However, I feel he has one huge flaw and that his obsession with bringing Daemon down.

And doesn't he also idolize him in a weird way? It's a fun relationship. I do think that Alicent has screwed things up a million times to Sunday, but I do find myself oddly having some sympathy for her, at least in that I think she's thought she was doing the right thing at times. Where it gets hard is just her thinking that her Aegon could EVER have been the right one given what he's done. -Matt

@@MattandJessTV Yes, I think Aemond admires Daemon. I think he sees him as a worthy opponent and it’s a compliment if Daemon were to go after him. That’s why I do like Aemond, I feel he’s just built differently than most. He’s a very interesting and complex character. I think I lost my sympathy for Alicent because I’m a woman and a mother and I feel she’s turned against and exploited both of those things. Her children are only pawns in a quest for the throne and I’m still angry over her judgment and shaming of Rhaeynra, especially when we see her behavior has been no better. Alicent has also been incredibly cold to her children in moments were they needed her. I feel they would have turned out very different if she would have been more of a caring mother. If she would have comforted them and also held them accountable for their actions. She covered for Aegon. She was more concerned with the throne than she was with the character of her children.
