Most non book readers don’t even know that Helena has a dragon ! Nor did they know that Alicent had another child that was left off screen and never mentioned until a few episodes ago ! I feel they prioritized things wrongly ! They spent 5 episodes of daemon sitting in Harrenhall but couldn’t make time for a few mentions of dreamfyre and perhaps a 2 second scene of daeron when he was little ! I love the show , but I feel they spent too much time trying to create internal tension with the family members in order to follow the format of game of thrones ! When they first talked about making this show . Ryan condal said I don’t have to change anything as there is plenty of material for many seasons ! I feel that he was misleading as they have since changed so much of what George R R Martin has written ! Even though show changed are fine . I feel they changed things that weren’t needed and some of the book material has suffered since they have made all these changes ! However overall , I still love the show . But I must give honest opinions on things I felt were needed !

The thing with Cannibal is that in the book he certainly does not live up to his name. There are very few dragons and they rarely produce offspring. Therefore, the presence of an old and wild dragon, which feeds on its own kind on a small volcanic island that serves as a nest for dragons is simply nonsense, otherwise all dragons would have died out long ago. This dragon would have been killed long ago, because he causes irreparable damage to the dynasty of dragon riders. I think Martin made a huge logical mistake introducing this dragon and I'm glad he is not in the show.
