The new intro depicts the Valyrians creating the dragons with blood magic, the Doom of Valyria, Argon’s conquest of Westeros, the history of the different Targaryen rulers, and finally the events from Season 1.

They really botched the ending, the books version so much more intense and they actually make her pick between the two kids. And then they kill the opposite of who she picks which basically destroys her and the remaining kids life. Y'all should really look it up if u have the chance. It's supposed to be the "red wedding" of this show and of course the writers decided to change it. Still a big fan... but man what a missed opportunity.

Idk from what I've read from "Blood and cheese" its not THAT intense, nowhere near the red wedding imo. Not to mention its a much shorter scene than the RW. The sound design in that scene did a good enough job at depicting what was happening too since they did make a couple changes from the book. I will say not having her choose and then them killing the opposite is a miss and would have made that scene all the better. But to say they botched the ending is just a bit disingenuous imo

@@SomewhatBurntToast Her having to choose in front of her kids face is what ends up driving her mad and ruins her relationship with the son she “chose to kill”. Making them just sleeping in beds and her pointing out the kid immediately takes away that entire moment and kinda ruins her character a bit. Also in the books she offers her life for her children and pleads the men to kill her. In the show she’s just like here take my necklace and leave. I don’t think it ruins the show, just don’t get why they didn’t follow the book in this instance, was just a very strange move that in no way changes the show for the better in my personal opinion.
