THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST VERSION EVER, if You ask me! 🏆🙌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Erik Grönwall sings PHENOMENALLY GOOD! 👌🏻 Firstly: His range is unbelievable! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Secondly: He knows how to tell a story so that You REALLY listen and feel everything he wants You to feel! And that is really something very unique! What he does is to deliver his heart through his singing AND presence! In this song You both listen and look at his burning eyes of sorrow and despair. 👌🏻🖤 And I FELT ABSOLUTELY SAD for ”many a poor boy” including the narrator! I also fully understood that gambling leads to misery. And that must mean that he has definately succeeded completely‼️ Thirdly: He never pushes. He takes his time to build up the story he is telling. Step by step. In most covers the singing very quickly intensifies with loud voices already in the first verse. But Erik holds back for quite a long time, to make sure that the listener REALLY listens and takes in what he conveys.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 He holds his horses before he lets them free. But once they are free they gallop with majestic force! MY, OH MY!! 🙌🏻🖤🙌🏻🖤🙌🏻🖤🙌🏻🖤 Towards the end of the song, he gather his horses back and sings with calm clarity. In this case: I felt like he sang in church finally. He leaves You with gentleness even though You feel uneasy about what he just told You. HE IS MASTERLY IN THIS PROCESS!!! 👑❤️❤️❤️ Fourthly: The video is always of good quality! Everything is well thought out! Fifthly: The arrangements around him are always of highest class!!! To me he is number one at singing here in Sweden at the moment!!! 🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻❤️ ( And DO we got good singers!!!!!!!!) Erik is a very humble and likeable man. He is generous towards his fans. Never ignores anyone even though he got a huge number of fans. Maybe him battling leukemia made him thankful and warm and interactive? Really incredible cover, for me by far the best rendition of that song. As iconic The Animals version is (and rightfully so), it never made me feel the desperation portrayed in the lyrics the way Erik's version did. Vocals, music by Jona Tee, video, all was perfectly done to create a really haunting feeling

Awesome song! Thousands of covers of this song and up until now I thought Five Finger Death Punch is the best one because I am a metalhead but sorry FFDP you just got kicked down from the top. Eriks version is so good, Love the musical arrangment from the slow to the heavy and with his amazing voice this is fire!!! Goosebumps certified for sure!
