Saw these guys in LA in September. The sounds Mr. Fukushima got out of his bass were off the charts amazing. The performance was, imho, more satisfying than the headliner.

And the Oscar for best cameraman goes to... "Oscillating Fan #1", for it's work on THIS video. I feel personally robbed for not being able to see the end of that solo at 3:00...as the camera just slowly pans off and away in the wrong direction.

I saw you guys live the other day as a support act for snarky puppy. Absolutely loved you! Mental dulcimer playing! Personally I loved having more bass live, and think the recorded sound might carry a bit more weight if the bass was slightly louder at times. Just my opinion though, keep it up!

Funny you should mention this, I've always thought music on this level is what might save us from destruction. And, it would be the most tragic loss should we cease to be. :)
@NRG26 жыл бұрын
Cheddarbucket I appreciate the sentiment. I have actually thought about this before and I think I would show them Stravinsky or Mahler. Since the aliens would not be able to identify culturally or perhaps even percieve notes the way we do, I think the mathematical concepts of structure in the 12 tone series and the ambiguity used to divert from that was expressed at it's height around the turn of the century. Thus expressing the greatest intelligence we have displayed in art so far. But this is a seriously cool project FO SHO! ;)

I have listened to the audio of this song atleast a 100 times. Today for the first time I saw the video. Its very disappointing to see that at some of the most crucial moments instead of focusing on how the instruments are being played the cameraman/editor put their faces on priority. From 3:00 - 3:25...I cannot express how sad I am for not being able to see how the Dulcimer was being played. Don't know if there is any live video showcasing that. I wont be able to sleep peacefully tonight.

Oh my !!! The time signature on the chorus is insane!! I tried to figure it out, but it is really complicated. I guess it starts with a 5/4 then a 6/4, but after that... lol Any help, please?
@dedecrf96215 жыл бұрын
I think it's 5/8 - 6/8 - 6/8 - 10/8 (5-8 + 5/8) or something like that
