Wes is just a monster bassist, discovered him playing with Mark Lettieri.

This is still the new standard for Jazz Fusion compositions along with maybe Lingus. The first time I heard them play this live in 2014, they had just gotten out of the studio where they composed it just a week or two earlier. Evan, the Trumpet player, told me that Caleb had written a new tune that was something special, and he had this kind of evil grin as if he knew this tune was the real deal. Well, needless to say, hearing this performed live for the first time was like going on a rollercoaster. Incredible adrenaline, complexity, joy, determination, odd meters, all of it at once. Amazing!

Like the long lost sibling to Lingus, and the same as Lingus is one of the GOAT... wow what an epic jam to spread on my morning toast. Nutritious and delicious +++

@dylan foley Snarky is a great band. it's like saying Djent is just watered down metal. it is its own thing which pushes boundaries which people like my self like the sound of them being pushed
@christ-stephaneboizi85724 жыл бұрын
dylan foley I’ll be real, I agree with half of the statement. We can’t take away the musical prowess that snarky owns. Every band takes their musical influences and uses it to make their own “flavour” of music. These guys are just carrying on what we know as jazz..
